I wanted some feedback for a logo my graphic designer cooked up for my company, Dimension Gaming.

Gotta agree with this, It looks nice, but the letters don't really look like what they're supposed to be :\

I actualy quite like the logo to be quite honest and although it may appear to be obscure it really isn't.
Im not sure if it's that ive already seen the DG logo design ages or that gave it away or not.

I was able to tell it was a G instantly. I like the logo, and I am extremely critical and difficult when it comes to logo design (as many know from ours...).

Anyone who can't tell it's a G has :downs:

Make it a bit less stretched and repost, I think it might benefit.

I like it a lot. I couldn't tell it was a G when I saw it before this thread, but I wasn't really looking at it so... but once you know the company name, its obvious what it is, which is perfectly fine. Lots of logos are like that.

If I didn't know it was called Dimension gaming, my first thought is a X with flourishes on the sides

Yeah. Maybe you should try joining the strokes?

Actually, they might be right about the X having too much emphasis.

Maybe instead of having them directly cross each other, try to have them gently come together, like a fancy algebraic x. (almost like http://upload.wikimedia.org/math/1/d/c/1dce1b88187a3dbb73a251dbf13d9fae.png, but not as "tight")

We had some problems in the past which resulted in the company shutting down and cleaning house for a bit so we decided to close the site until we rebuilt ourselves, but we are at the point where we are ready to open up shop again so the site should be back up by the end of the month, its www.dimension-gaming.net.
