Creating my own screensavers

Well, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up and I would like to make my own 3D (or cartoon) screensavers. The only problem is that a lot of sites I am finding end up giving me viruses. I'm getting kinda sick of it.

Does anybody here know to create a 3D or cartoon screensaver?

Use 3ds max to make whatever you want, render a video.
Use video in Screensaver Factory to make a .scr.
