wierd TF2 graphic glitch

Okay then, so I've got my new PC and I'm happily playing TF2 again. The only problem I have is that Domination messages (you dominated/you were dominated by) don't show up properly. All I get are pure white bars, with no text visible. Anyone else had this, or know a fix?

Assuming that you've tried restarting and aren't using a custom HUD, try deleting the tf/scripts and tf/resources folders in your team fortress 2 directory.

These folders hold the UI and HUD settings, which will be reloaded from the "team fortress 2 content.gcf" file.
