Chrome users (lol) can use html5 instead of flash on youtube for the most part now. Downloaded chrome to test it out and the video appears to look better if I'm not imagining things. Also the slider for the video doesn't glitch and freeze up.

Firefox 3.6 (new one) supports HTML5, but not the stupid Youtube one because its riddled with patents.

Bah, tried using google chrome, opted into HTML 5 beta, still can't seem to find a video that doesn't use adobe flash player 10.

Welp I assume it'd be incorporated into firefox soon. Guess chrome got it first because google=youtube.

I used to use firefox, but I decided that I didn't feel like waiting my life away for webpages to load so I started using Chrome. It has shit features, but it's fast as hell.

Amit, it has extensions now too.

Also, it does load faster now [html5] and I am almost positive the quality is better.

Too many videos load too slowly and look pixelated. Not for me, I guess :/

h.264 is a proprietary format so Firefox won't be incorporating it any time soon. It could probably be supported through a plugin, similar to how flash works, but that'd be at the discretion of the patent holder.

Chrome in a nutshell. That's why I use it.

I dunno man. All the HTML5 enabled videos I was watching were low-res and pixelated. I'm assuming there is no HD support yet, among other things, such as fullscreen mode. I'm not exactly sure how you see things clearer than Flash at this moment in time.

Everything is working better for me. Mostly, the skipping has stopped, but even loading is a tiny bit faster. CPU usage is up, but fuck it, I have a quad core and I don't care :).

Loads faster. glitchier. that's all I've really noticed.

Never had a problem with YouTube (with the exception of it randomly deciding to not let me upload certain videos) as it is, and Firefox doesn't work with it yet so I'm not going to bother...
