Windows Startup Will Not Work

Every time I try to start up windows it gets stuck at the "Starting Windows" screen. I tried Startup repair, but that did no good. It still got stuck.

Reseat all of your cards. I had one that was just slightly loose and Windows failed to get past the boot screen.

Try taking them out one at a time to see if it fixes the issue.

Did you install any new programs/drivers/windows updates?

If yes, google + windows frozen at startup + program name/driver/windows update kb#

Any overclocking or custom changes to your BIOS? Did you also try re-seating your processor? While I was getting this OC stable I had Windows 7 lock up at the intro loading animation (the colored orbs that fly in to make the Windows logo), it only got a few frames in and then just froze. Freed itself up after I tweaked the OC, don't remember exactly what it was that fixed it but you should look into your BIOS settings if you've changed it in the past.
