Do you think they might be trying to make a actual Halo Ring?

NASA wanted flaming head... Duurrr. Also, Bungie predicted the future of humanity and they want them to build a MAC cannon for them.

Either that or they got bough out.

or they're starting to licence out the engine, under the name 'aerospace'

Wonder how much that shit would run you. Not only would you use a Havok 360 and Wave license (at least since Halo 3) you would need to buy 3ds max and Maya licenses.

In other words, you'd probably need the backing of a publisher to fund all of that :\

However, if the engine was for PC too you could just use the Havok PC SDK which is free in most cases. IMO though, I'm doubting the engine licensing angle.

It could be that they won a contract with a private space company and will be doing software simulators for them and this logo represents that branch of the studios v:-3v. Hmmmm, I wonder just how their divorce agreement with MS went exactly...could this new development introduce a loop hole to allow them to target other things than just the 360?

Realistic Pelican flight control game.

I would thoroughly love that, but they would probably include a ton of other aircraft and spacecraft from the Halo universe were this true.

They'd have to fix the aerodynamics of their shit before they can even consider making it fly realistically.

Still, this is a most interesting development.

I'm pretty sure their next won't be a new Halo game. It would be better for them to let MS handle that IP (since they now own it anyway) and continue to develop the new IP they've got brewin' up the street

This just in (the other day) from HBO:

DeathBringer669, over at Bungie.net, also noticed (http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=41989336&postRepeater1-p=1) that the MARATHON LOGO is the subject of a brand-new trademark, as well. (Thanks, Hedgemony (http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=971156).) Things that make you go hmm...
Make of it what you will.

1) Where is that picture from?
2) Isn't Joe working on Bungie's "next project", not so much Reach?

Here is the source (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/15/bungie-and-bioware-discuss-franchise-maintenance-at-gdc-2010/), it's a picture taken from GDC apparently.

I believe Joe is working on their next project mainly. He posts on the Noble Actual (http://www.nobleactual.com/) website, so he is still involved with Reach somewhat.

Sorry, I just assumed it was Staten when I saw 'Joe', I totally forgot about Joseph Tung. I guess it's safe to assume that Staten is working on their new project full time in that case.
