(There are more sources but of course I'm sure almost everyone has heard this rumor by now)
Well here we go again, actually got me to hold back from getting an Iphone until further notice. Picked one off from Ebay for 50 bucks to try it out and see how I liked it, loved it and was actually about to activate it until this rumor started up yesterday (go figure). Even so, I'm still selling my Iphone to a friend of mine for the same price since she wanted it, had AT&T, and didn't care that it didn't have a warranty. Of course being the nice guy I am, I gave her a friend's discount (50 bucks and A LOT of baked goods, can't go wrong with that haha).
What are your thoughts on the rumor? I hope it's true but I'm waiting until the next generation comes out to get a better view on everything. If it's stated to come out, great I'll wait. Otherwise I'm switching to AT&T just for the phone, my uncle has it and loves it.

I'm waiting for the iPhone to come to a company that doesn't rape you in the ass with bills for a pretty crappy internet service.
Oh wait, that company doesn't exist. Fuck.

I don't see why they won't since they already have it up here in Canada... Well, Telus has the iPhone now and Telus is owned by Verizon...

About time AT&T had some motivation to be better. Though I digress, I'm more excited for the HTC EVO on Sprint than the iPhone coming to Verizon.

Most credible sources claim Verizon isn't getting it. Too bad too, I hate my Storm.

I'm getting a new phone ASAP. I'm just stuck between a rock and a hard place right now.
I'm not getting an iPhone, nor do I want one. So I don't give a flying crap about that.
I have Verizon. I want a phone that runs Android OS, but deciding on one is the difficult part. I've been wanting the Nexus One really bad. Verizon is supposed to be getting it within the next week. Meanwhile, HTC is coming out with the Incredible (more like INCREDIBLY UGLY). The Nexus One has only 512 MB of internal flash storage. The phone is expandable with microSD cards, but that's only for pictures, music, and movies, NOT apps. The Incredible has 6 GB of internal flash, but the phone looks like ASS. It also has a better camera and is rumored to be able to record (or play back?) 720p video.
Also, Google is shitting all over Verizon and its customers by selling the phone on Google's site ONLY. The current rumor is that the Nexus One won't be available in stores. This fucking sucks because it means you won't be able to get any upgrade offers ($50 to $100 off) or any deals such as Verizon's always running "buy one and get a phone of equal or lesser value FREE!" offers. People aren't going to care to go shopping on www.google.com/phone unless they have their hearts set on that phone.

All the good-looking and good-performing phones seem to be coming to T-Mobile and Sprint lately. The hell is up with that?

I don't know if it's because Verizon is fucking stupid, or if it's them being smart and not jumping the gun with every new phone. In one sense, it's stupid because it sometimes takes up to 6 months for phones to come to Verizon. At the same time, though, Verizon usually does improve the phones in some way. They might add more memory, more storage, change some features, include a firmware update, fix some hardware bugs, add a more powerful processor, or give it features their network offers. So, you could say they hold off on the first generation of the devices so they can get feedback first. However, by then the hype is already dead...

Like I said, I don't see why they shouldn't get the iPhone soon down in the States. Verizon owns Telus up here (one of our big networks) and Telus just recently got the iPhone which used to be Rodgers exclusive.
