I'm looking into buying an R4i card for homebrew and backups, and so I don't have to erase my brothers saves.

Does anyone know of any reputable sellers or places to buy one?

Dude.

R4i's suck balls. Almost every R4 released since they actually stopped production are commonly fakes/clones that die easy.

Get something better like a Acekard 2i, it works on the DSI 100%.

Additionally, I hope you got a mini sdhc card to put your shit on. Most people think 2 gigs is enough, and thats reasonable. I used a 8 gb card though so ^_^

The website I bought it on does not have it anymore, so I cant say I know any good ones.

Just use ebay and be intelligent about it. Recently I've bought a ton of camera gear/cameras from ebay, and because I know my shit about cameras, I got some amazing deals and didn't get screwed over. You seem to know your way around gaming hardware, so it shouldn't be too hard vOv

The R4's and R4i's are still in production in the UK, they're not fakes at all over here. (Or well they're not from where i buy them anyway... )
I'm sure there is some place that still sells them in the US too. This is where I bought my R4i from (http://www.r4i.co.uk/r4_cards/nintendo_dsi/r4i), never had any problems with it either, works great. Use to have an R4 from the same place when I had my old DS too before I got a DSi.

Sorry i couldn't be of more help but I would also recommend the Acekard 2i, as I've used one of those before too and they work great too.

This is where I get all my console stuff. Got my R4 here (which wasn't a fake/clone) as well as a VIA 6421 PCI SATA Card and Pandora's Battery (Overpriced though). They only take credit card though, no PayPal; from my experience they're reliable.

I have 2GB and it definitely isn't enough. I'd probably go for the 8GB just so you have that extra space to do whatever.
