I used to just use nero to burn cd's but ever since i reinstalled the OS it wouldn't work burning MP3's
Every time it would start burning and then it would just fail and fuck up my disc, even though everything i was burning was stuff i'd already burnt before.
So i gave nero the flick and tried acoustica and it worked fine... for about 2 weeks then it started having the same exact problems.
Error: 'NEXT WRITABLE ADDRESS' command failed on device 3:1:0
unable to read track information
I'm beginning to think i've got some dodgy little program squirrelled away in the comp that blocks me from burning MP3 CD's, because everything else works fine.
anyone else have anything annoying like this happen to them? cause it's pissing me right the fuck off.

I've always had success burning mp3 cd's by simply copying the content of the folder (the mp3's) as data using the wizard. e.g., open file>ctrl+a>send to drive
wmp always wants to cap me by song length but i'm probably doing it wrong.

I also support the suggestion of ImgBurn. Of all the attempts I've made to burn CDs since I left Windows XP, ImgBurn has resulted in the least drink coasters ;)

If all else fails, iTunes.
Just make a playlist, import the CD into it, then mash Burn Disc.

I open ImgBurn, select "Write Files/Folders to disc". In the next window under Source I click the "browse for a file" icon and select all the mp3s I want to burn to the disc. Under the options tab I have MODE1/2048 under data type, file system ISO9660 + UDF. I then click on the button to actually burn the files to the disc. It says something like "Volume not labelled but like the good program I am I've created one for you!" and I let it use that label. This is the method I use to burn mp3-cds for my truck's mp3-cd player, as just burning the mp3s to the CD-R through Windows results in a drink coaster (ie, plugging it into the truck's player causes ERROR to display).
EDIT: All the mp3-cd players I've ever used don't consider mp3-cds to be AUDIO discs but rather DATA discs, and ImgBurn can figure out the size of the disc you've inserted so that's why there's no way to select it as audio mp3 cd or 700mb size.
Also, to the rest of you guys... can WMP make mp3 data cds, even? I thought it only makes standard CD-audio discs with an 80-minute limit.
EDIT2: Here, an image of essentially the steps I go through. And I see that WMP can make a data cd but since ImgBurn works, I'll stick with it.
