My brother and I made this time lapse video this past semester at Wheaton College, for fun. We played it at the annual Wheaton College Class Films event, which was very exciting for us. We took thousands of still pictures, adding up to about 80 gigabytes of raw images for over 70 different shots.

We primarily used a Nikon D5000 with the kit 18-55mm lens. However, we also managed to get a lot of shots using the Canon Powershot SD1200IS. We also used the Nikon D200 and Nikon D300 for a select few shots.

Lenses used:
Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5
Tokina 12-24mm f/4
Nikkor 55-200mm f/4
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8

That's really cool. Very nice work. If I had a faster internet connection, I'd watch the full HD version.

Very nice, I think I may do something like next time I go to a place with a bunch of people

What are you doing 10 minutes away from my house wtf whoa cool nice job so far.

Edit: Watched it all, didn't see any shots of the pool I swim at for High School season as well as every Saturday (like today) now-a-days. I'm sure one or a few of those cars might have been me and my crazy teammates driving from the High School to the College though (since we don't have a pool at our school).

Hehe. Do you swim at Wheaton's SRC? My brother wanted to get an underwater time lapse with his friend's waterproof enclosure, but we didn't have time to...

Chlorine is really not bad at all, too. I'm not sure how you would've gotten a good underwater shot, were you planning to go in without people there or with a swim club or team there if they let you in?

I guess we would have just gone during one of the open pool nights.

Very cool. Should've tried to get your hands on a tilt shift lens!

Hehe, I don't think it's worth it to be honest. Tilt shift lenses are so expensive, while recreating the effect is so easy in Photoshop. I had wanted to throw in a few shots of a pseudo-tilt-shift effect, but because I was crunched for time to try to get it done and I didn't have time to fool around with it.

Oh you'd be mad to buy one just for something like this o_o but being able to borrow/hire it from somewhere on the fly would be awesome.

My school doesn't happen to have one, but I could get my hands on some other lenses, like telephoto and wide angle lenses and what not.

You had a roller disco? Sick.

Great stuff, loved it. America is very different.
