Another broken compoota thread

My laptop will shut down randomly, its done about 5 times so far. Once it did it within an hour of eachother, but the first time it did this was like two weeks ago. Laptop, allways plugged in, W7. Halp?

do you have any more details? like what were you doing before it happened the first time, recently installed programs, what time was it, etc...
details are good.

It happens at completely random times, doesn't matter if I'm just doing normal browsing or playing a game. It just happened a while ago and I noticed the charging light turned on after it shut down, but I haven't unplugged it for days and it was fully charged before it shut off.

Mine does this too. However, mine only does it when the battery is low and I plug it in.. then after a few minutes it shuts down anyway. I just let it charge a bit then turn it back on. Your problem may be a battery problem as well. Just unplug it and then let its battery drain all of the way then plug it in to let it charge just to see if it helps anything. I'm by far no expert on any of this so don't kill me if it doesn't help.

Mine loads up past the Windows loading screen, then just says "Disk Read Error. Press any button to restart." No amount of restarting has fixed it. halp plx

Does safe mode work? If it does, try to do a system restore
