So seriously, what's with the name?

Haha. Okay, quick history of my screennames:

5th grade: Everybody is getting into AOL Instant Messenger, so I pressured my parents to let me have an account. Victorious, I decide on a fairly pompous statement of technical superiority: Siliconmaster482. Silicon, aka computer chips, master-of, and some random numbers tacked on the end, like everybody else was doing. Ironically, those numbers turned out to be part of my social security number, which I had never seen at the time.

Freshman year of high school: I get Halo PC, make up a more "badass" sounding name, Slashrat. I got it from one of the Star Wars: New Jedi Order books. I used this on the old EP forums, as well as Halomaps.

A while later, I decided Slashrat sounded pretty dumb, so I returned to the old name, which sounded less like an eighties punk name and more "refined". It also prompted many jokes about silicone, as Flibit pointed out so handily. :P

Earlier this year: Podcast pointed out the numbers were foolish. I agreed. They went away.

And now, even though I realize the screenname is silly, it's been so long that I don't feel like changing it. Honestly, I go more often by Br0nto, which is my gamer tag, and based partly off my name, Noah Bronstein, and partly off the length of my limbs. I am somewhat of a ganglemonster, and the Brontosaurus, with its long neck, seemed like an amusing likeness. Note that I didn't come up with this one, my friends did, my senior year of high school. At least you can't make breast implant jokes about it.
