We already have one in the house, but since my room is on the other side of the house, I had to buy a wireless adapter for my PC, and I have to have my xbox in our other living room. I set it up so all I need is another Modem, and just plug it into my wall to get internet.

I don't want anything too expensive, just something basic I can run my PC and Xbox off of. Doesn't even need internet. Price range is $50 or less.

uh, are you willing to pay for a second connection? why not just buy a wireless router and get some big fuck off antenna for it.

ya most (if not all) isps will not allow you to use a 2nd modem unless you pay for an entire new connection.

100ft ethernet cord (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812119183&cm_re=100ft-_-12-119-183-_-Product) through the attic or under the floor etc, or if you're a real lazy bitch tacked along the top of the wall through the house.

idk if you want to risk it but you could also make a high gain antenna for the xbox.

Fuck, you should have seen my face when I found out a month ago I can't have more than 2 modems...
Can you play games any good with wireless? I heard they lag sometimes.

wired > wireless, always, but yes, assuming youve got a stable connection, it shouldnt be a problem.
