Mine expired last july. Very useful, but I don't know if I'll ever shell out $24.99 US again just to get some extra replayability out of a game. I downloaded trainers for pretty much everything, even games I didn't have, and I know they work since I've lent some to friends (using offline validation, of course). However, SoaSE is a game I never had any interest in, sorry. I was actually pissed though when I found out that my Opposing Fronts game updated automatically on Steam and I can no longer use the trainer I have for it.

I finally got these trainers from someone with an account, however he was wondering if I (or someone I knew) could take a look at them and try to disable their callback authentication. The trainer states the following in the README file and we were both hoping someone might be able to nullify the authentication features while maintaining the trainers functions:

AUTHENTICITY NOTICE (Does not apply to PROMO or FREE trainers):
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

In an effort to maintain the integrity of the files downloaded from our site and to prevent
illegal file sharing, this trainer will perform an authenticity check while in use. This check
requires an Internet connection and the trainer will not run if a connection is absent or if the
trainer is blocked by a security application. NO INFORMATION, PERSONAL OR OTHERWISE, IS SENT TO
CHEAT HAPPENS DURING THIS PROCESS. This check is only performed on trainers that have been
personalized for individual use, not our PROMO or FREE trainers. If you want/need to use the
trainer offline, please go to our trainer troubleshooting page for instructions on how to obtain
an offline key to avoid online checks.

So if you know your way around decompiling executables and programming, could you please take a look at these? I'll PM you the trainers for you to take a look, I don't want to post them because the more people that use them before it's nullified the higher the risk that we'll be caught.

If the person didn't give you the offline-use file, you're as good as fucked. Unless they've changed anything with the offline files within the last year and a half, using it on other computers should be no problem.

The only way I know to possibly get around the authenticity check would be to find out where the authenticity check is happening (server's IP, and all that fun stuff) then to create your own server that does it's own check, going into your HOSTS file and redirect the program to go to your server and BAM, you're in. This is just a theory, and is probably too much work to accomplish though, so you may just want to disregard this post.

The way it works now is you download an offline verification tool to your computer, this generates a key that you must enter into the CheatHappens.com website. How did you used to go about getting your trainers verified for offline use? I sent the guy a message on CheatHappens to see if he can get them offline for me.

CheatHappens.com is the only website that has a trainer for the latest version of SoaSE.

I figured it would be easier to just remove the online checks all together, basically just tell the program to skip that step and go straight to allowing the trainer to function normally.

It just gave me a link to download a file from a special part of the website and I dropped it into the My Trainers folder. I've used it on other computers in my house so I know it works.

Okay, you just put the key file in the folder with the trainers after you use the generation tool thing? That's easy enough.

I downloaded the key generation program, made a key, and sent it to the person I got it from and asked them to make a key file for me.

It'd be interesting to see if that would actually work.
