So while talking to Teekup yesterday there was a explosion at the refinery where I live.
Two people burned and one person was found dead today.
Apparently it started out as a leak in one of the distillery tanks and it got out of control shortly after the tank blew up damaging a surrounding chimney.
The 24Y.O who died was trying to cap the leak for most of yesterday he was missing and while searching the wreckage they found him earlier.
one man unaccounted for.

I know I'm not the only one who lives near this as I know firedragon is fairly close as well.
Here's a picture from my own window.

Refinery accidents are never fun. Shame someone had to die.

Yeah, the weird thing is, is that the guy who hung himself last week was being buried yesterday afternoon just when the blast went off.

This is the first i've heard of it... hmmm i'll have to call my dad and see if he heard anything about it... interesting. I'd be pretty scared if it happened that close.

Could it be that the windows are reinforced to prevent breakage? Over here they go a step beyond that and add barred screens to most exposed windows

Or it could be leaded glass... I've seen that style of window in older homes.

Sir!, I think you have us mistaken with Australia.
Leaded glass although not all houses have them.

Are you in jail?
Yes because prisons will OBVIOUSLY allow you to open the windows getting past the mesh:allears:
