I have no soldering Iron. I'm trying to see if someone on my campus has one... That, and no flux either. If it wasn't in the tools of the trade picture I didn't use it... :'(

A little bit of advice would be to instead of kindling the wires together make them so there is no knot.
Basicly have it like this ----======---- instead of ------*------.

Also, soldering irons are cheap... you can get em for like $7 from Radio Shack, invest in one and you won't regret it.

Also (again) just because you shot tag a 3K image, and it displays at a nice resolution... it still loads the whole image and makes firefox chug. SIR.

Thanks... but as you can see, my tools aren't the best, so making it much longer and doing that, would take a crapload of patience... Also, because it's so thin I would have to purchase a soldering iron to keep it together... that and the wiring is incredibly thin...

I reduced 4 of the pictures by half size. I'll get to the rest later... I didn't realize the load was so slow for ya'lls when my computer gets... 10 mbps download and 6 mpbs upload.

And, isn't it safer to use a soldering iron with some proper technique to make sure this thing doesn't go kapow? The last thing you want is the wires to heat up too much and catch on fire.

I'm not doing anything too intensive with it... also I broke down and got a soldering iron (20 BUCKS. FRICKEN' HAWAII) I'll be mending it later.... No heat shrink tho. I just got some Electrical tape for a temporary fix but I've got worse things to worry about unless the connection gives up.

Also Juice- My FF doesn't lag and I'm on a craptastical computer.

Make sure you buy solder to go with that, and wash your hands thoroughly after using it. There is some lead in solder, if I remember correctly.

Wherever you do it, make sure you have a window open or a fan going or something. It doesn't matter if you're worried about it or not, it's just good practice.... and good health measures.

There's a reason people working with solder on an almost daily basis are a little, uh, different. :allears:

Also, flux isn't really needed for a job like this. Most solder has a flux core which is adequate for almost everything tbh. Watch the following, good, clear, concise information:

Also, do not ever do what you did when cold cathodes are involved. Had one blow up on me years ago before I learned why it was bad to just twist wires together hehe.
