Dynasty Warriors Online - US release

I've seen this being played in Japan. I never expected a US release. Granted, you may not be a fan of the game. It's sort of an aquired taste, a repetitive hack and slash with what some would consider bland environments.

I for one have loved the fuck out of this series since the DW2 demo on the PS2 demo disc.

I don't know if this costs anything yet, but for fuck's sake I'm downloading it because the download is free. If I have to pay anything, I'll likely do it later.

E2: It's also very much like the console versions. The best way to play would probably be to plug in a wired controller and set up your controls with that.

The controls for attacks are placed awkwardly on the keyboard and it just doesn't flow quite right. I'm pretty sure you can change them but it just seems like it was definitely made with controllers in mind.

pretty sure there's a campaign mode somewhere, I've seen footage of people taking him on... not sure if it's in the public beta though

Sounds like this game might be completely free to play once it's released, there's been no price tag set yet, and nothing about monthly subscriptions. The company's also apparently known for releasing free games.
