I have no idea what i've done. I've recently reinstalled 7 and i'm fairly certain I didn't apply any tweaks before this occurred. I thought it was only a bug with Google Chrome, but now that it's appeared while trying to install Dropbox, i'd like to fix it. Has anyone seen this before, or know what the problem is called so I can try and hunt down a fix? I would try to google it, but I have no idea what to google ._.

e:It's the folder tree i'm pretty sure, but googling brings no results.

I would, but i'd rather not have to reinstall all of my programs.

You shouldn't have to reinstall anything with system restore......

I thought the only thing it didn't change were documents ?

I've never had it affect any programs I've installed.

Just go back a day and see.

Go to the start menu and type in restore. Then pick system restore. Continue and choose a date from before it started happening. The only thing that will be gone is stuff you've installed after that point.

Setting an automatic system restore every day or at least every week is a pretty good idea. However you can usually find a fairly new system restore, as lots of program installs, updates, drivers, etc, create them for you automatically.

I restored to the earliest date it had and it didn't fix it. I normally leave System Restore by itself, since I generally don't need it unless something goes seriously wrong after an update. Looks like i'm reinstalling windows again :\

Use the repair in your w7 disc, it'll replace explorer.exe, which is most likely the problem.

Just reformatted, seems that the problem was caused by me replacing ExplorerFrame.dll so I can get a theme working. Everytime I go to replace it now, explorer.exe manages to go and get itself corrupted >:C

Theme's that need that are just too much. Keep it simple.

I know, but Shine 2.0 (http://zainadeel.deviantart.com/#/d2usxxy)is just awesome imo. Found a program called CustoPack Tools that managed to install it, problem solved, thanks guys
