CTF Spawns not working

I placed some spawns for CTF in a map but when I tried to play the map on CTF, I couldn't spawn. The game just kept saying "waiting for space to clear". Would anyone happen to know what I'm doing wrong?

Make your spawnpoints enabled for CTF.

They are. The problem seems to be with where they are located. For some reason they do not work in certain areas. Still can't figure out what about those areas breaks the spawns though.

E: I've figured it out. Apparently you can't place spawns too close to the enemy flag. Interesting.
