Howdy, so I got my grubby hands on an iPhone 3GS , currently it is on 4.2.1 firmware, and it has a baseband of 05.15.04.

Now before I bought it, it was unlocked in an o2 store (a UK network) so it will work on any traffic, I'm currently using it on Three.

I want to basically jailbreak it, I don't really care if it is on 4.3.2 firmware, I just want to be able to have Cydia to install some themes and what not. Updating the baseband could break the GPS functionality, which I don't wanna do obviously.

I heard greenpois0n might be able to jailbreak it without updating the baseband but I'm not 100% sure.

So any one got any advice? I've searched Google but its pretty much alot of people saying different things and plus the articles are old and programs have been updated since then.

Okay so I worked out the unlock 02 did is a permanent unlock so any software updates do not effect it. Therefore I use jailbroke it using greenpoison and it still works on 3 :D
