Looks a liiiitle on the realistic side, but I can put alot of confidence on the "No cover. All man." motto at the end. Because cover is for pussies.

IGN's also got an interview on the game (http://pc.ign.com/articles/117/1171651p1.html) with a bunch of info for those interested

Mood right now is eager but reserved. I'll wait to see how it looks at E3

Basically, DNF with less toilet humor? Not a bad thing at all. Serious Sam has always been a favourite of mine.

Highly enjoyed Serious Sam 1, never played 2. Given the way shooters are going lately, I'm interested in this if only for the sake of clean, no BS action gameplay.

Well, Serious Sam has always been about no bullshit action, so I have high hopes for it. Devs probably saw all the current shooter trends and said "fuck that, we just wanna blow things up."

New trailer detailing the weapons. Animations aren't perfect, but as far as the Serious Sam games are concerned who gives a shit?

Also dug up a 10 minute gameplay video. It looks like some kind of origin story for Sam, which puts me on edge, until I saw the 16 WEAPON SLOTS YES.

That looks fun, they're hitting all the right notes. Two things, though:

1.) They need to ditch the ADS mechanic, it's pointless

2.) It looks too easy, like the enemies are staged just right so there is no real challenge, and enemy projectiles are slow as hell.

It just doesnt seem like Serious Sam to me. SS has a bright colour scheme and a comical look to it. :S

It looks to me like we're only seeing the early parts of the game. It obviously starts out in a random middle eastern city, and then progressively gets more and more into the "ancient ruins" design we're used to, with less and less clutter around you.

I like how all the suicide bombers rushed down the hill. That is pretty epic.

The original Serious Sam formula is still 100% intact here. The manual reloading and aiming down the sights are only present in three of the sixteen weapons(the handgun, the assault rifle and the single barrel shotgun), and aiming down the sights is only present on the handgun and assault rifle. And I was right about the color palette: it does slowly open up the farther into the game, and you eventually leave the urban environment.

This game is wonderful. I would point out the shitty storyline and animations, but it's Croteam, that's not where the game is. The game is in the ballet of fighting seemingly endless waves of hundreds of enemies from all sides without any cover.

And yes, there are secrets up the ass, health does not regenerate, and you have more graphics tweaking than any other game out there. There must be at least four different sets of anti aliasing you can tweak here.
