Any way I think my own clan servers {XG} are fine, they are hosted in the EU and run the latest sapp software which kicks player with to high ping, who are afk and bans those who use aimbots.

In case good means not modded with secret tp's and unlimted rockets and ten tanks per team and in case you don't mind playing on Euro servers then switch Halo's version to 1.09 and search for servers with the ® symbol in the name.

Modacity servers (lately they've been having lag spikes but maybe that's just me)
DG servers
CE clan servers
RealworldCE servers (though I rarely play on them anymore since the ping jumped to 160+ for some reason)

There's also a few gems where all the good players play that are hidden in the list of crap servers, you just need to look carefully.

DG recently switched to the new SAPP and I've already seen a number of aimbots get autobanned, so if your looking for clean games definitely go for one of those.

Sounds like your ISP has shitty routing tables. Do a traceroute and see what it's doing. PingPlotter is a good program.

I used to get 33 to Chicago and St. Louis servers all the time.

I PingPlotter'd one time and had jcap review the results, I think we determined that once you leave the Canadian backbone and enter the USA there's some kind of stupid bs.

Meh. I'm not really looking for a new FPS to play. I'd just like to be able to play a game or two of good old Halo CE every now and then. The server lineup is just amazingly horrible though.

No US servers I can think of, I agree 100%.

However, XFORCES usually has nice maps and gametypes if you feel like dealing with Mexicans that know how to play and are cocky about it.

E: if you can see them in the list anyway, I'm running a hack to view all server versions at once, so I can't tell.

Well, I've been thinking of hosting a HCE server for a while, but since that game is already pretty well represented unlike JK2, I wasn't sure if I should. If there aren't any American servers running a decent rotation with stock gametypes, I might consider it again. I don't really care how populated it is, quality over quantity IMO.

Aren't the Modacity servers running pretty much stock modes though? Or are those gone?

There are probably a bunch of US servers that DO, just not ones anyone play in.

The Modacity servers just run one map 24/7 with the exception of canyon whatever. Which does danger canyon, ice fields, and bloodgulch.
