Hey guys, Have a lil talk about your selfs here.

You guys may know me as 2Sha3 from other forums and GBX, and yeah. Im 15 in ocotober 2006, and im into extremesports, being a mountain biker myself.

What about you!?

Teroh
September 4th, 2006, 04:09 PM
Well I'm xTerohx from GBX, I turn 3 and 3/4 in February 2007. (No joke! I was born on Leap Year :) )
I play Tennis, I fence, I sail, I golf, I play basketball, and I'm in one of the best High Schools in the country. Go me!

TheGhost
September 4th, 2006, 04:13 PM
I'm TheGhost, I put up this site. I was originally from halo-mods, then halomods, then Gearbox. I've been with Halo for many years now and I'm very excited for the release of H2Vista.

Outside of the online world I'm a good student, and I love just hanging out with friends and doing all of that fun stuff. I try to have a broad yet good understanding of how to do many things computer-related, such as website design, programming, film editing, 3d modeling, modding, and a bunch more.

Age?!!?!?
Age man!

jcap
September 4th, 2006, 04:24 PM
I'm fat, boring, and have no original ideas of my own. I am a prick and I screw people over for a living. I have no job, no life, and no dignity.

>_> *cough*

Anyway, I'm jcap. I assisted TheGhost in getting this website online and running. I first came to the Halo CE community roughly aroudn the time of its release, but I rarely ever played due to the few maps and players. I never post much, unless I have something worty of saying, which is probably why I am not as well known as many others in the community who rank up over 1000 posts in a month from saying "QFT" and "yeah!", and make shitty, worthless maps which waste valuable bandwidth.

I spend most of my time on my computer; however, I don't spend my time goofing off. Instead, I spend it learning, like with web design, some things about the HEK, and general computer knowledge so I can Option2 out of all of my school's computer technology courses and get A+ certified.

I hate people who go around talking about stuff like they actually know something, but are completely clueless in the matter and make themselves look like a complete jackass. While I love to argue with these dumbasses for the humor of them getting overwhelmed, it really isn't worth wasting calories on someone who just doesn't understand jack, and probably never will. Horrible grammar is one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate it when people can't bother to learn proper grammar, or just use a simple spellchecker.

legionaire45
September 4th, 2006, 04:26 PM
I am Legionaire(sometimes with a 45 thrown on the end), im 14, turning 15 on 9/18. I live in Toluca Lake AKA the fancy named portion of North Hollywood CA. I first started playing Halo PC around early-mid 2004, and I first learned about CE when G4TV showcased Jahrain's Zelda64 mod. I first went to Gearbox Software forums for CE around September of 2005, and slowly started expanding out in terms of the forums I went on for Halo. When im not on my computer, im either modding it/upgrading it or fixing it after I break something (or it breaks on its own). I do occasionally play DDR, mainly because thats one of the options my school has for PE (on an XBox modded to boot Linux non-the-less), so I guess I could call that a hobby too. I mainly play PC games on my PC, but recently my Uncle bought me a copy of 3DSMax8 so I could learn how to use it. I also know how to use Photoshop (I have a copy of Photoshop 6 XD), but I still play around and experiment with stuff just for fun. I am working on learning C#, and I also know a very basic amount of Blitz3D (has its own programming language with a built in game engine that acts as a compiler too 0_o). I generally only use Xfire as an instant messaging app, but I also use google talk a lot. If you want both of these, they are in my fancy web 2.0 styled signiture down there.

Mr. BBQ
September 5th, 2006, 01:28 PM
Lets see here, you've probably figured out by now that I'm Mr. BBQ from GBX. Im 15, though I turn 16 this January, mildly excited about that. I do a lot of artistic things I suppose, a lot of making music, making various vidoes, etc. I spend a lot of time at the local TV station making TV shows for them too, I've already made a few signature comedies with my friends. I spend a lot of time doing things with electronics for the most part. I like to do a lot with home theater, and I've built a few pairs of my own speakers. I enjoy doing things with 'puters as well, though I've yet to really get a hold on a lot of stuff most of you guys do. I.e. 3d modeling, progamming, the such. I like learning new things, and often strive twords self-betterment. Though sometimes I get bogged down in overly profound thinking; I like to ponder the universe, religions, and pretty much everything a lot. ("Why, how, how much longer we here for?" kinda stuff.)

In school I'm pretty much a good student, I take a few honors classes (aka advanced) and get A's and B's. I working on getting into a film college and may specialize in digital editing.

And of course, I game a lot. Console gaming for now, but I'm working on buying myself a new computer. (I'm gonna build it, of course.)

Zenaku213
September 5th, 2006, 05:13 PM
Im Zenaku213 and Im hardcore modder, and some of you may now me from Halopce.com which is a small modding site that has actually developed alot farther in HaloPC then halomods. I've been modding Halo ever since it came out for Xbox. I love HaloCE and it has helped me alot in mods and figuring out Halo's tag interface. I usally work with scripts in CE and create content for converting to PC. I also love programming in VB and C++ and have done a few helpful tools such as ExoX which is a PC and CE Map editor, a CE Tag Sound extractor and some other helpful tools.

Outside of Halo Im a good student and do very well with grades even though I don't study or barely even get my work done on time, but hey I'm in honors so I guess it doesnt really matter. Some of my favorite hobbies are surfing, paintball, and playing games.

itszutak
September 5th, 2006, 08:55 PM
Apparentally, I'm itszutak.

I invented a food, and got sick from it.

I'm learning how to model a BSP, and plan to release my first map by 2017.

I'm late 14, and I play WoWcrack, dead rising, and haloCE.

My school grades are improving, but my SAT scores have always been glowing. (585/600 in all subjects >_>)

PlasbianX
September 5th, 2006, 10:16 PM
Im PlasbianX. Um... the name is really random.. it was supposed to be PlazMehAnix, which was a gaming group my friend made, as he was really into making games with RMXP. (http://www.enterbrain.co.jp/tkool/RPG_XP/eng/) I got home that day, which was the very first day i learned of Halo2CE, and i joined my first ever forum, and called myself PlasbianX, cause it sounded like PlazMehAnix. Now i just go by PlasX, or simply Plas. (ingames i go by =EP_PlasX= since im in =Elite Predators=). I started off as the biggest noob ever, and soon matured, and im now a sexy beast. I like 3d modelling. My passion is art, and architecture. I plan to be an architect.

Height: 6 foot 4
Eye Color: Brown
Location: Wooster Ohio
Age: 15
Grade: 10th / Sophomore
Average GPA: 3.8 to 4.0

I like gaming, hardcore, go big or go home. I like shooters, and SOME mmos. Im not like the nerd who sits all day behind his PC screaming LEERRRRRRROOOOYYY JENKINS!!!!

I admin on a free lineage 2 server: www.fantastictropicalpwnage.com
Forums for that: http://ftpl2.6.forumer.com/index.php
Im a mod on the forums for that too.

I skate, skateboard, BMX, and mountain bike. Ive had many crashes, most painful was when i did a bet to see if i can front flip on my mountain bike off a ramp (it was a LARGE ramp, so yea) and i flipped, landed on my handle bars, and pierced my chest. Im still alive. Thank god.

I um.. have a GF that im very close to. She plays volleyball. And sometimes soccer.

I do swimteam, and basketball (obviously for my height). Im certified in first aid and CPR, and im getting a job (hopefully) as a life guard soon. (age doesnt matter unless you are able to drive, and certified. And ill be 16 by then anyways)

There ya go. My life story.

Zeph
September 5th, 2006, 10:41 PM
I'm Zeph. I played Halo once in a hotel room before I preformed in a show and fell in love with the game. I didn't have an xbox or a working PC at the time, so that was all I could play of it. When I built a nearly-top-of-the-line PC spring of my junior year in high school, I installed the copy of Halo I bought a month earlier and started playing. CE was released shortly thereafter and I started learning what I could. I was in over my head, so I just played competitively in leagues as part of Rabid Clan. Over time I learned how to do CE stuff really slowly.

Since then, I've worked on things I dont feel worthy of releasing, provided design advice, helped others learn and work where I can, and began working on my huge Halo 2 Vista project. Shortly thereafter, a good friend of mine in the community came to me with an idea and asked for me to expand upon it. I'm working on both right now, but the second project is seemingly on hold.

Once I learn how to UVmap, I'll be showing off a good deal of what I'm working on for H2V.

edit: oooh, nice new editing features.

But yeah, I live in East TN, am 19 years old, and am trying to find a college where I will be doing something I enjoy. I'll probably end up at MTSU this spring.

WhÎþLå§h ÐÆmØÑ
September 5th, 2006, 10:49 PM
I am known as Whiplash among CE go-ers. Though my real name is Beau (pronounced - 'bo'). I am only 13, 14 next march. Despite my age I am very smart and very mature. And people who do that 'I am holier than thou' shit on me piss me off, because they are older. Also I am 5'5.

I am known as a 'drifter' in the school groupings thing. Meaning I go from group to group always having a place to reside and not being left out. I try to be a VERY neutral person, in real life, and on the internet. It keeps me out of trouble ;p. I am mainly the one who tries to get people to stop fighting, or other people to be friends. Though I do tend to get myself in trouble somtimes, because I'm such a badass. I'm also one of the more popular kids in school to.

I used to play soccer (I did it for about 4-5 years then stopped because of serious injuries). I play golf, yes, you heard me. I do go biking every-so-often.

I the only serious injury I have had was torn legimends (spelling?) on my left ankle. Which, for those whom don't know, is worse than braking your bone. It does not fully heal, and if you do not wear a brace/keep your foot at a certain position, it won't heal the right away. And I have torn it... 2 times, and almost torn it about 3 times.

That should do it.

September 6th, 2006, 01:10 AM
I'm Alex Ross, commonly known as Ross, rossmum, or ingame under one of many aliases (main is =EP_rossmum). I'm 17 in October (I was born on a black Friday, bitches :D) and am Canadian by birth (don't hate... please?). I moved to England when I was 4 and then out here to 'Roo-land when I was 7. I've seen a hell of a lot of the world, including just about every semi-significant WWI or II site in western Europe, a lot of the US, Abu Dhabi airport (lolol, it was so clean and sparkly). I have a passion for learning about cool stuffs like wars of the 20th century (I'm a WWI/II/'Nam freak), and have been into gaming ever since I was 5 and got my first PC running Windows 3.1 and awesome games like Chip's Challenge (Most of the PC and the games are still downstairs in storage, I hoard childhood objects like you wouldn't believe). I've been a diehard Halo fan ever since I finally got Halo PC for Christmas 3 years ago, and started out modding in March '04 on Halomods (where I'm still an active member; however, most of my original forum buddies have left for GBX or quit Halo altogether *cough HunterXI cough*, the days of Mono posting in a new member's thread complimenting them on their mod are gone, the place has really gone downhill but it's leveled out for now). My first time on GBX was to flame the living shit out of someone who accused me of stealing their idea despite the fact I had never even heard of GBX let along them and their idea... I got banned, but came back to notify the CE community of Halomods being hacked by some idiot who saw himself as their crusader against Halo PC modding, went inactive for about a year and 2 months, then came back to stay when Reaper got me a spot on the Shellshock dev team. Since then, I've post-whored my way to over 2100 posts, got into about 4 other teams including Evolution, and generally found a great new place to stay with awesome mods like Ghosty (+rep plskthx :P). I play CE and PC quite a lot, and whilst I now model and tag for CE, I haven't stopped producing REAL mods for Halo PC... none of this "6-meta-swaps-some-lame-skins-and-it's-done" bullshit. Link in my sig. </shamelessadvertisement> I'm also a budding artist and have been drawing, painting, writing stories (my English teacher wants me to become a novelist, my science teachers want me to become a physisist or do something in medicine, and my agriculture teacher wants me to do something ag/science-related...), and making stuff with clay. I've been 3D modeling for about a year, maybe a little more, but have always had an affinity with modifying games I own using whatever tools I can get to work (in most cases, notepad is good, if there's no SDK or user-made tools).

I'm nearing the end of Year 11 at school and have my yearly exams for the last 2 weeks of term... so that gives me about a week and a half to "prepare". Oops.

Far as I can tell, I'll be around for a long time yet. :)

mined here. My not-so-pseudo name is Josh. My wife tells me I am too old to be playing video games...I just tell her I am doing it for my kiddos.

I have spent the better portion of my good years flying around in a CH-53E as a Marine helo crewchief...now I try to re-live the beloved Corps by playing HALO (not a true comparison, but hey, whatever).

Currently I am studying architecture at the University of Oklahoma. I work in a local firm as an intern doing grunt CAD work, field studies, and believe it or not, some design work when the boss is in a good mood.

I first got into HALO at the end of a long night of partying with some old military friends. Somehow, I caught wind of CE, and thought it would make an interesting presentation tool for my studio projects. Now I have implemented my 3DSmax renders of my class projects into HALO CE. Instead of programming a camera track for the presentation like everyone else, I can navigate the entire rendering at will. The other students and Professors find it quite innovative. I think it is just a good excuse to play at school.

i'm a metal head/goth person, therefore its mandatory i like drinking the blood of little kittens...well maybe that's just a fad, but i like rocking out, geeking out, and playing Halo CE and PC. i live in Australia, born and bread, (mmm bread) go to school in a little bumpkin town where cows are worshipped for their extracted ass muscles called Casino (not a Casino)
i absolutely love Slipknot (stfu) and music, its what im destined to do in life. i hate being pigeon-holed because of my physical appearance and the music i listen to, being called crap like emo (god dammit i hate emo fags) and hate being labelled. But i never ever complain about life anymore, once i seen those poor children overseas who would die to have anything close to my lifestyle :( . My friends say im one of the most unselfish people they know. i never put myself over anyone. EVER. I often don't even think about what matters to me. chances are it would be selfish so i tend to ignore what my head wants to do (yeh im one tripped out individual)

I plan to be a metal rockstar (call me a dreamer) and no The Used is NOT metal. I play guitar and sing whenever im not playing Halo or at school.

I love my girlfriend Rosalie with all the RAM and Hard disc space I have to offer (lol geeky lolz) Ive known her since I was in kindergarten, but only truly met her around January this year.
I like cheese alot, wear beanies and army jackets, have long hair and love Italian and Mexican food. I like horror movies and action movies, but i love the old classic stuff like Beavis and Butthead and Ren and Stimpy. Even though im unselfish and love other people, i also hate other people for some odd reasons. Often turning on the news each day slowly pushes what little faith i have in humanity, out of my head.

Well thats pretty much me in a nutshell, hope i didnt scare anyone, and if i did, you'll be fine :)

I'm Agamemnon, sometimes known as Agamemnon582bc (that's when bitches on other forums take my name :p ).

Yeah, so I'm 17, I'm a high school senior, and I'm your feed for the need of any Halo picture you need. Wallpaper, avatars, spoofs; you name it, I capture it. Photoshop is love, but it doesn't pay (well, right now it does, especially when you're working for a business card place that designs them; $8.00 an hour :p ). Psychology will definitely be a major.

Oh, I'm a member of halo2sucks.com. Actually, quite the avid member. Also, don't hate, in-ves-ti-gate! We're a lot more than just a "hate" site. Actually, we're not. But what ever.

Oh, I have a girlfriend, she's 19 (the older the more mature and uh...experienced ;) ). Been with her for a year and a half. I write, pretty damn well actually, I read, I draw, pretty damn well as well, and I play volleyball.

Yeah, I think that's good enough for you guys.

I noticed Mycenae below your avatar to go with your forum name. I hope to visit the remains of the citadel sometime and check out the Lion's gate. The Minoans and Myceneans are part of my favorite period in western history.

What I would give to see the tomb and all of Mycenae in its glory. Yes, mythology is one of those things I love to read up on in my spare time, and I've read the Iliad enough times; it's also one of the reasons why your vehicle is on the top of my list; it has itself a greek name. That and it really does look beautiful.

But yes, when it comes to ancient history, the Greeks are definitely not over looked. I see myself in the future traveling around and visiting ruins of ancient civilizations; I already have the Mayans down; I was kind of born there, so I guess that doesn't count really. :p

DECOY

DECOY.

Have made a few HaloPC mods, http://www.halopc.net/viewforum.php?f=2
Opened a small modding workshop site for Halopc then recently let it go
(not easy to do).

Figured, "it's about time I starting making my own BSP's and got geared up
for H2vista." Which is what brings me here. I have a pretty high end
gaming/modding machine, so I dont think meeting the specs will be a
problem (I hope). Reading up as many 3ds max / CE related tutorials as I
can find. Thanks for the resource, Ghost!

Oh yeah, even though I let the modding site go, I still have 125 gig of
storage and 1200gig of transfer bandwith a month at my disposal if
anyone needs a bit of space to host maps/mods etc.

Er, thats it. nothing to see here, move along.

Kalub
September 11th, 2006, 11:00 PM
Hey guys, my name is Kalub (Kay-lub). I live in Idaho. Im 5'11.9" tall so close to 6' its not even funny, I have brown hair, blue eyes, and I like to run. Im not sure why I like to run other than the fact it gets my heart pumping and its exciting to me. Im 15, and Im a high school student in the 10th grade. Im a nutural born leader, and I run Sound Lead at my schools theatre productions. Im also experienced in lights although they just dont float my boat that well.

I started modding Halo back in the good 'ole days when we old-timers did it by hand with a hex editor. I started at HaloMods, but quickly got fed up with it once HMT 3.5 was released. So I went to Halo-Mods the more mature place for halo modding at the time to brush up on what I missed while I was away for 7 months. Turns out the HEK was released the day I came back and there where already maps out; Well one anyways. Casualty Gorge was what it was called and even though it woul be considered small and worthless nowdays, it was by far the best map ever made.

So I dived into the HEK headfirst learning everything I could from trial and error, until I met a man by the alias of NKnave who taught me weapon animations. Then SSDC gave me a crash course in vehicle animations and disappeared. Thats about the Time I met KiLLa, who to this day has been a really cool and close friend, always there when I need some help.

I worked on some odds and ends stuff, and basiclly just became a library of information, knowing how to do things but physiclly not being able to. Im the Odd-Man out I guess.

So now that you know me a little better, I hope we can get along just fine.

Alias: TeeKup
Height: 5 feet 6 inches
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Orientation: Homosexual
Ancestral Origins: Italy
Current Residence: South Carolina, USA.

I'm normally a fun loving guy, I'll try anything (except drugs and alcohol) for fun. I've been wanting to try sky diving for a long time now. I live in a semi-urban town in the Southern United States, this doesn't help me since I'm gay; not a lot of gay people here. Those that are here aren't generally treated well.

I typically enjoy going to the mountains which are a 2 hours drive from here or going to Myrtle Beach or Charleston for vacations. I'm very open minded when it comes to certain circumstances within society and people around me, however I tend to stand back an assess situations and predicaments before I present my solution. I generally accept anyone and everyone for who they are, except when they open condemn others based on their own information which is most of the time wrong; I.E. ignorance.

I do however tend to keep my orientation to myself, not everyone is accepting of people like me, so to respect their opinion I try not to make it obvious I'm gay; if they ask I'll answer them, otherwise I'm quiet about it. It makes living down here a lot easier.

I recently found out I'm 50% Italian. I was adopted at a very young age, my mother couldn't support me or my brother. My adopted father's brother adopted my brother Matthew. We recently met for the first time and found out we have a lot in common, he's younger than me, but tall which I find rather embarrassing. I am very emotionally sensitive, most people can try and hide what they're feeling but I can tell almost right away. I don't hate anyone, in fact and I have a great love and appreciation for anything and everything around me. This doesn't mean I don't have a sense of humor, my friends crack gay jokes at me every now and then and most of them are pretty funny. Besides, if I can take a dick, I can take an insult.

May i ask you where your father was from? could be intresting since i am some kind of italian too. :)

I really have no clue who I am. I kinda change based on who I am around, to the point where I wonder if I have my own personality or if I simply imitate others.

I think. A lot. And I care about my school career, and have thus continued my enrollment in the Honors program at my school, and have a 4+ GPA thanks to it.

I also draft plots for great stories in my head and never get around to doing anything about them. Currently, I have one that I could make into a new SP game for CE, but I haven't.

I'm still learning, but I love to animate and I feel I've progressed a lot. I'm 5'9 and 120 pounds with red hair. I'm not really as crazy looking as I am in my avatar :P. I was on many day drugs and had a fever when I took the picture. Also, clocks.

I suppose I'm an average kind of guy, I love hanging out with my friends not just in RL but in Halo and on the forums. I'm a member of Key Club, an A student most of the time, and I don't really play any sports. However, I do love skiing and hiking when I get the chances; I've only skiied at 3 different mountains but I've done quite a few major hikes. I love the outdoors, but somehow I can't get myself out of the house. I'm single :smith: and enjoy reading books, watching movies, and playing games of course. I got into the CE modding community after spending a couple years in the NFS modding community (Hence Con's Cars--people who still think it's Con Scars can stfu). I started out on gbx, then made some unnoticed crap and experimented in a few areas. Skinning seemed enjoyable, but modeling was also a favorite. I suppose I like to learn something then move on, when an area interests me I'll learn all about it for a while then move on, or return later. Anyway, I got into CMT and did some shits for some pplz and here I am :downs:. As for the future, I've got no clue as to what I want to do...

GRADE / GPA: 11th / 2.9 UC/CSU:D / *SAT Score will be place here, expecting at least around a 1600 but aiming for 2000.*

I've been involved with the Halo community since at least late 8th/early 9th grade when I found out about Halo CE and gradually figured things out. I more or less did nothing but post, I didn't contribute to the community because I was too afraid to post anything I did (I was fearful of criticism, something which changed near the end of 9th grade). Anyway, for a long time school shit caught me up and for most of 9th and 10th grades I was too busy fucking up my classes to do anything Halo related. However, last year I asked Snaf for some help with 3D art and he helped me out, so now I can at least say that I can make a model that doesn't totally fail. Well, I say that anyway xD.

Recently I taught myself how to use the Hammer Editor for the Source Engine, although I have to admit that my brushwork sucks balls. I should look through some examples of good maps to see what works brush-wise.

Since around early 10th grade I've had an interest in programming and I've slowly taught myself the basics. I originally jumped through Blitz3D (based off of BASIC, I don't remember much of it thank god) like a clueless retard and made shitty games that weren't even really games...Lulz. Anyway, I learned the C programming language near the beginning of 11th grade and took a class at my school - it was rather easy considering how shitty and basic it was (our programming teacher had us use a compiler from like 1991 with a graphics library that was just as old 0___0). I got bored with that and bought a few C++ books which I have not had the time to read completely, so thats one of my summer projects.

I'm also working to get my shitty GPA up so I can actually get into a good college, although considering I couldn't even get into a UC system summer camp (COSMOS if anyone cares) I doubt anybody is really going to consider me unless I go to like a CSU or something, which I don't like. There is always Full Sail, but I'd rather go to Digipen. Meh. College shit makes me depressed.

Back to math homework (note to future self: Integrated Math III: Section 13 - Trigonometric Functions, Test C due May 2, 2008.)

Oh, forgot my other hobbies. I still play DDR a lot in school, now I can actually pass songs on heavy/1.5x/boost/dark :awesome:. I also play lots of video games obviously. Other then that there really isn't much I could consider a hobby besides trolling around on H2V with Emmzee and Teroh. <3.

My interests are music, movies, sports, friends, working out (a huge part of my life), and of course video games. I've been playing Guitar for nearly 6 years now and while I don't get to play often I truly enjoy it. I'm currently a front service clerk at Publix Supermarkets.

I originally got into the "modding" scene with Halo PC/CE from Halo-Mods, from there moved to Gearbox, and then of course here. I never was heavy into actually doing publicly released mods as much as I was competitive play, taking part of CAL CS:S, Halo 2, and MLG Halo 2. Planing to play in MLG Orlando in July for Halo 3.

Currently in the last year of high school (and probably good to note early on i'm currently tanked/pissed/drunk/etc, this is gonna be a long druken rambling) having the time of my life. In this modest town of around 30,000 I have the greatest time, great people live here. At school I study Chem, Physics, Economics, Calculus, and oh dear god english - the worst subject I ever decided to take (although our photography class seems to just study other photographers, and they don't take many themselves, what a waste). Really I should be doing the mountain of homework my english teacher has decided to set (yeahhhhhhhhh The great gatsby), but I think I might save that for the morning.

I first got halo atleast 5 years ago and an xbox with my two brothers as a three-way joint present for christmas. Oh my god, it was amazing. I had never really played video games before that and didn't know how anything worked. I always thought behind these closed doors on AoTCR (think that random dip below the two bridges where there is two doors left and right, two elites spawn when you go down), were some amazing rooms that you might be able to get in to. We played so much we ripped the damn disc to shit, and ended up buying another CD (AoCTR with AR and Plasma rifle + legendary was goddamned amazing). Must've replayed that campain atLEAST 100 times, I don't think i've ever thrashed a game that much, don' think I ever will.

When I started to surf Bungie.net, I came across Halo CE, and a top story featuring a few maps (blood island, casualty something or other, and another). From its recommendation I joined the gearbox forums,d way back when (May 2004 iirc) as was a total fucking retard (some bastards even bumped some of my first threads). Honestly, I wish I could just delete the horrible crap I posted. I still remember playing WTC3 (wasn't early enough for schwinnz) for hours on end (gogoog 100 cap CTF) with a guy named A cab and banana or something, that was the funnest time of my life - I was the best 300 pinger in the freakin' world. I'd never really experienced the online gaming world until then (except for thinking I was a cool dude whoring heavy weapons and attempting to join up the the {X} (read:heavy fucking weapons) clan, who split up because it actually sucked dick), but there were some really cool guys who played back then.

Further on I decided to join uip on the fun and ended up making a crap SP map, complete with broken openeing cutscene and broken ending where it just went dark and you had to alt+f4 to quit. Never ended up finishing, was called flood something, if you ever want to find it. I think p0lar_bear was the only one to play, as he was one of the scripting masters back then and got my first cutscene working (fucking high five man, youi were honestly my idol back then. pretty sure you thought it was absolut' shit, but you stil said it was cool anyway <3). Modelling was absolute shit: each tunnel was make by creating vertexes so each one was more obscure than the last, each room was a click of a button of a box/cylinder/etc, but SnaFUBAR the modelling genious didn't even flame me for it, said although the modelling was horrible the gameplay looked fun. I attempted to re-make it with content ripped from the campaign so it made more sense, but that slipped aswell. That was my first experience in modding in Halo CE I eventually ended up making hte Purple Chiller UI, which was the first UI ever made to feature fully custom bitmaps, and still the only one iirc.

Since I think (Zeph too???)I was the only one who knew what widgets were which ((oh god what a waste of my summer hoolidays), jcap enlisted me in creating the Delta Halo UI, which I could almost garuntee you will never be released. Sorry guys, but i'm just being honest. I finished my part a long long time ago, but since jcaap demands the best he won't released it just with the normal bsp (halo ring and skyyy)and let there be happy hppy joy joy in the community, or atleast the new ones that've joined and seen it. I think it was a fun experience, but I think I don't want to do something like that again because of jcap, because he made me recorrect so many damn things. My photobucket has atleast 500 images dedicated to the UI, mainly screenshots to show jcap, to ask whether or not I need to move this bitmap 1 offset left or right, or whether I need to create a new whatever or whatever. But he's still pretty cool, thought he had mad photoshop skilllz.

I think at one point Btd59 wanted me to do one for him, but he didn't understand how it worked and just sent me screenshots at the wrong resolution of what he wanted - didn't know that you were restricted to 640x480, although i'm still not sure if you can create a UI that's made to fit certain resolutions. CMT also wanted me to create something for their menu, but it never endude up happening.

At this point I want to apologize, the alcohol is still wearing off and i'm not sure if that previous wall of text makes much sense, I tried to break it up a little, but if that doesn't help, sorry guys.

To go back a bit I ended up in #gbh for what seemed like a year, although i'm still not sure if Corgy was the only one that liked me. Shot the shit with Agent_Kurosawaoisjdosiajd for hours some days, but I never ended up idling because I didn't own my own computer and our family wasn't the richest; so the computer ended up being off whenever possible.

Coming to H2Vista.net was a breath of fresh air. New most of the original crew that got the site going (mad props to TheGhost, so didn't think this site would take off), as gearbox seemed to be dwindling due to some mad strict reinforced rules, and all jumped ship as it seemed t o be a safe haven. Eventually I was promoted to mod (along with Zeph iirc, although I knew I was and he woke up to the fact) after a while, htinking it'd be great. It's not all it's cracked up to be - seriously. Then we eventually all did a nice dance and ended up at Modacity.net.

Also people wondering the origins of this:
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/2292/dontlookdown1jcapex0.jpg
Jcap was trying to do chin ups or something with his mates with the skirting around a big open doorway, and decided to lift his legs up and hold on. His mate took a picture just before he fell to the ground, because he couldn't hold on. For some stupid reason he sent it to me, and for some stupid reason all I kept was this :jsmith: emote I made when bored. What really blows is that I cannot remnants of the IM convo, it was probably on the home PC that's been formatted. Also jcap likes to have really on sided conversations will me where he presents huge walls of text that I just add "lol" or "haha cool" too occasionally to give him the impression of something. Yeah I just searched through a chat-log and discovered nothing, except for this which I thought is pretty amazing:
http://economist.com/images/ga/2007w26/Drugs.jpg
Fuck me that's so expensive

I've been writing for what seems an hour and I don't think i've even passed the word-count of an Agamonnemeon retort D:

Oh wait I just realised something unfinished in the UI - the help menu that pops up for retarded about how to use vehicles when you first get in (ala Two Betrayals when you get in the banshee, or when you first and last (stupid idea) bash the door open on the pillar). I remember because CTRLALTDESTORYYYYYY sent my a picture of his totally fucked UI due to my crazy use of widgets. He had an empty clip and it said "Press 'FALMETHROWER' to pick up 'RELOAD' or some crazy crap. I think I pissed him off quite a bit, because it was an amazing UI and I just completely stuffed it up. Alteast the pause menu looked awesome :3 oh yeah, and he mentioned those easy level in-game help menuswere borked but neither of u (jcap/me) could be assed doing anything so we left it. I am honesltly so keen for it to get released but I think i'd be permanenlty banned from any halo site by jcap if I posted it up and uploaded it to halomaps (lol, leaking a map I worked on - it's genious!)

Well it nows seems like I've been writing for more than an hour and previewing this post I have created -- honestly now -- my first wall of text. You could probably add up all the words in my other 1,310 (oh god nearly 1337 posts time to start a new threads woops) posts would not add up to the amount in this one.

Once again i'm sorry -- i'm a bit pissed right now (too much to drink, not angry for whatever country has pissed as both drunk and angry), but i've put what seems like a bit of sub-par effort into this, and I hope atleast one persone will read this.

tl;dr - I played a lot of halo, joined gearbox.... sorry guys cutting this - either you read it or you don't.

It's 1:22am and I need some sleep - thank god I don't have work in the morning. (another amazing feat - not one smiley face in this entire wall of text)

Ive owned some pretty damn fun systems during mylife, like sega genisis, NES, gameboy color, GBA, Nintendo 64, Nintendo ds, psp, gamecube, and a couple computers. My favorite games are Legend of Zelda, Halo, Morrowind, Super Mario, and many more games i cant seem to remember. I got into game desing when i started mapping for H2v. I also have some really great friends Ive known for my whole life and I thank God for having such great friends. Im a type of guy that likes telling jokes, likes to go hang out, always open to things, and goes were now high school student has gone before(like farting at the face of a sleeping substitute and got a whole month of detention for 1 hour and almost expulsion from school). That just about sums up who I am...I think.

I'm Dr. Nick. I'm 16 for a couple of months, I'll be 17 in August. I spend a lot of my time on my computer and often play video-games like Halo 1, a few of the Source engine games/mods, and a few others. I dropped out of school recently to work full time. I'll be going to college after my 17th b-day to finish my grades. I work full-time at a local store.

After reading everyone else's stuff I decided to throw down more garbage about meself.

My involvement in this community has been pretty much just an utter failure as far as contributing content to the game. I've made like 10 maps that were all just really short lived projects that I was focused more on the layout of the map and level design than making it look pretty. This made people crit the maps based on their super low poly look and ended up making me never release anything.

I ran www.game-gateway.com (http://www.game-gateway.com) for a good long time which was basically a website that tried to give Halo 1 Xbox modding a home. Before I started hosting stuff there it was pretty impossible to find most of the Halo 1 Xbox content that's been released through the years. I aimed to remedy that. Then my website got hacked and I just really didn't care to fix it (it's still in that state... with a silly page there)

I was aiming to use my website as a launching site for several custom map packs that were popping up around the same time. Including a map pack I was working on. I was aiming for maps that were small enough to be played on a single Xbox and still be fun for kids.... not very easy considering how 43% of the maps are FUCKING HUGE, 50% of them are tutorial.map rehashes and the other %7 are either broken maps or *gasp* quality content.

So I started to make all of those graphically simple maps to put on the Xbox aiming for small maps that had great 2v2 style gameplay. Was going to do an Xbox exclusive release... but since that failed those maps stay on my HDD with nobody to play them.

I am also a gaming junk collector. I have all sorts of garbage that I think is neat and other people think I'm a complete nerd for it.
old pics are old
http://www.llamajuice.com/closet.jpg
http://www.llamajuice.com/rw.jpg
http://www.llamajuice.com/gen.jpg

about 4 years old... collection has grown immensely since then.

Since I gave up on that Xbox map pack I really haven't done much in the community. I started a H2V map that was neat but.... ehh other than that I haven't really done much. I tried jumping back in by working on something for CMT but... well I lost interest and now there's an open CMT modeling position.

Currently I use school as an excuse as to why I'm not available to do any modding... makes me sound responsible and people usually won't argue with it.

Also I'm a DDR/Music game addict. I've bought 3 metal DDR pads (all broken now lol) I've been playing for about seven years now, but never competitively really. I've gone to a few tourneys, but always knowing I won't win. It's all about having fun really. I'm planning on buying a blueshark pad (http://www.llamajuice.com/img/blueshark.jpg) soon but things have put a pause on that too....

Oh and I'm a vegetarian.

I guess I'll take a shot at this.

My name is Raymond, I go by "Warsaw" in most places now, with a screen name of "Lead Ace" on www.red-alliance.net. I used to be "Ace 0f Spades" on the =EP= Gamers forums and GBX (didn't visit GBX too often).

In real life, I am 17 years old (second born with three other siblings and a family size of six), turn 18 on Christmas day this year. I am located in Virginia, United States of America. I am currently a junior in high school, doing the International Baccalaureate Programme.

My interests include World War I history and related, Soviet military, art, music (I play the viola, been seven years), science-fiction, and video games. Two hobbies of mine are airsoft and the creating of "storyverses" (making up universes to which a book, game, movie, or series could be made for). I love to hang out with my friends at any chance I can, because I have a hard time making real friends. I'm the type of guy that people attempt to mooch answers from in school. I've had two romantic interests in the past, neither of which worked out, am currently pursuing the one I should have been for awhile...problem is, I am the type where all the ladies would love to be my "best man", but not the reason for having a best man in the first place.
I am an outspoken individual, and will make simplistic and blunt comments where I feel necessary. I try to respect other peoples' opinions and world views, so don't hesitate to let me know if I am not living up to that. I will not bend to the wills of others under pressure, and nor will I betray my friends for personal gain.

And some game related stuff:
Favorite video game: Half-Life 2
Consoles: XBOX, XBOX 360, Gameboy Advance
PC Specs:
-AMD Athlon 64 3200+ OC@2.22GHz
-EPoX nForce 4 Ultra 9NPJ Motherboard
-eVGA GeForce 7800GT OC
-2x 512MB GeIL Value DDR (PC3200) RAM
-1x 200GB Western Digital Caviar Hard Drive
-Some generic CD/DVD RW drive
-1x AVidAV 17" LCD monitor
-1x KOGi 15" LCD monitor
-Logitech X-530 5.1 surround
-RAZER Plasma Diamondback mouse
-Saitek Eclipse I keyboard, blue.

Once I learn how to UVmap, I'll be showing off a good deal of what I'm working on for H2V.

What.

UV mapping is seriously the easiest part, it's just the most boring and slowest.

Oh, yeah gotta talk about me.

MY names Dane Brennand, 18 turning 19 at the end of this month. I live in a small town called Casino in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Um, lets see I'm about 5 foot 9, sort of blondey browny hair I guess.

I first got into halo around 2005, but I had actually played Halo PC in early 03 at Zilla's place. It's a shame we never really knew what an online forum was, or we would have been here alot earlier.

I've always been a very arty sort of person, was pretty much the top of the school in anything art related, got straight A's and such. When year 12 hit though, I started having conflicted views on art, and clicked that most artists are pompous assholes who will put shit on a canvas and people will love them for it. So I stopped caring. Started getting into music alot, still playing the guitar, and one day I got halo pc, played it online, loved it, and then through various clan forums and awareness, I got here.

I was really interested in modding and specifically game textures. I was fascinated on how they made a 3d character have a "picture" on them. I managed to find myself the bitmaps for the halo 1 masterchief, and I was amazed at what I was looking at. So I decided to try make my own, and learn as much as I can.

After posting at the old cmt boards end of 06, I was let onto cmt, where I grew and grew to what I am today. Still with cmt, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now I go to college, just to learn graphic design and website design, so I can get a sort of stable job in something in the area, while my large life goal is to paint textures for a living :)

Wait, bumped?

And on a side note I seriously haven't played much CE in the past year.

I lead an average life like many others here, Ive lived life hard but learned from the best. I love BMX and Skateboarding. I love to do modding within the halo community, although I may not be the best it's what I live for.

I currently as of this Monday have been diagnosed with,

1.Ketoacidosis
2.Anemia

1. Ketoacidosis (key-toe-ass-i-DOE-sis) is a serious condition that can lead to diabetic coma (passing out for a long time) or even death. Ketoacidosis may happen to people with type 1 diabetes.

Ketocidosis means dangerously high levels of ketones. Ketones are acids that build up in the blood. They appear in the urine when your body doesn't have enough insulin. Ketones can poison the body. They are a warning sign that your diabetes is out of control or that you are getting sick.
Treatment for ketoacidosis usually takes place in the hospital. But you can help prevent ketoacidosis by learning the warning signs and checking your urine and blood regularly.
What are the warning signs of ketoacidosis?

Ketoacidosis usually develops slowly. But when vomiting occurs, this life-threatening condition can develop in a few hours. The first symptoms are:
Thirst or a very dry mouth
Frequent urination
High blood glucose (sugar) levels
High levels of ketone's in the urine
Next, other symptoms appear
Constantly feeling tired
Dry or flushed skin
Nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain (Vomiting can be caused by many illnesses, not just ketoacidosis. If vomiting continues for more than 2 hours, contact your health care provider.)
A hard time breathing (short, deep breaths)
Fruity odor on breath
A hard time paying attention, or confusion
2. Symptoms of anemia vary depending on the severity of the condition. Anemia may occur without symptoms and be detected only during a medical examination that includes a blood test. When they occur, symptoms may include:
Weakness and fatigue are the most common symptoms of even mild anemia. Even iron deficiency without anemia can reduce working capacity in some people.
Shortness of breath on exertion
Rapid heartbeat
Lightheadedness or dizziness
Headache
Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
Irritability and other mood disturbances
Pale skin (however, healthy-looking skin color does not rule out anemia if a patient has risk factors and other symptoms of anemia)
Iron deficiency, even at a level too mild to cause anemia, has been linked to restless legs syndrome (RLS) in some people. Some studies have reported RLS in 25 - 30% of people with low iron levels. Studies suggest, in fact, that RLS in some people may be due to impaired iron acquisition in cells that regulate dopamine in the brain. Dopamine abnormalities are known to play a role in RLS.
Mental confusion
Loss of sexual drive

The Goddamn Halo:Custom Edition Legend himself. Best known for my antics on the CE battlefield. Co-Lead of {} Clan (Unnamed) which was legendary for it's defeat of HIV in the first HaloCE Leauge. Final game of CTF where we came back from a 4-0 deficit to upset the favourites 5-4. Member of the Tower Crew (TC) and have been around in the original Hive Server days. Haven't played since "The Fall of CE." I've been around CE since the "glory days" of many legendary servers and even when GBC clan was around. I one day plan to write some sort of biography of my Halo:CE chronicles but right now all I got is bits and pieces of it but it's still pretty long. (That's what she said)

Now onto my "real life." I go to a private Catholic school even though I'm not Catholic (Creates serious lulz in "Religion class"). I'm not exactly smart but I'm no dull crayon either. I like to say I have street smarts rather than book smarts, though it could be just laziness. I pretty much walk / transit everywhere due to my lack of driver's license. Heavily into games. I've pretty much play games from ever genre. I enjoy movies a LOT. Also I am a Star Wars fan of epic proportions. Most of my friends come to me for pop culture information. I am pretty average and hope to stay that way. We shall see what the future has in store for me.

I'm wol, real name Chris Webster. My nickname is either Vez, Esteban, or tito--depending on who is saying my name. I've lived a unique 17 years of life--but it's been so hectic that most other people my age look up to me as an older brother. I try meekly not to be too snobbish or stuck up, because hell, i live in a nice home with parents who have common sense which keeps us out of the ghetto. What i mean by people looking up to me (really, only my closest buddies look up to me, but i assure you that they're not my best friends because of it, they're my best buddies because they're not afraid to tell me to feck off if i'm being a bitch)--is that i've experienced so many extremes that many people wouldnt have to deal with, that really i have a certain respect up to a point. I also get that respect because i'm a teacher, and i share everything from a story to technical help.

I grew up homeschooled as my mum hated the educational system (i don't blame her, it's fecking retarded that i can't teach myself and then go take some exams for a diploma) and i entered public school 9th grade. I'm blessed with rare social skills that other homeschoolers don't have, probably because i don't give a shit about society's damn rules on how to act. I do what i want to do, and apparently it's relieving to some to see a guy who doesnt care about social rules. And apparently, some people think im fucking scary for the same reason. It doesn't matter to me--because i've got the love of two girls whom i consider sisters not to mention plenty of friends spanning every single 'clic' or 'group' or 'stereotype (cept for emos, cuz dey be fags lol)--oddly, i have a way with culture that has gotten me close to a lot of interesting people.

I'm an artist and an engineer. Above all, i love creating new things that i like. Music, art---organization, clarity, style. When i look at something, i think weird shit like the physics of the light waves/particles refracting and bouncing and how the color frequency is occuring, or how the shape and color makes you think happy thoughts. I'm also a part-time philosopher, in that i'm constantly questioning the base fundamental construction of humanity and shit like that. You might tell from that, that i act a bit older than what i am. Which is fucking bizarre, because i get truly insanely wild sometimes.

Other: I'm a grammar nazi, and can't stand it when people forget to capitalize things, shorten their words, say "lol," or spell "lose" with two "o"s. I'm currently making a small income working at the local grocery store, while working on a major in teaching and a minor in English. Ever since I was about 12, I always spoke and wrote at or near the writing level I'm at now, and frequently confused my peers with my big words, resulting in two years of social isolation. Once I figured out how and why I was scaring people off, I spoke with smaller words and stopped wearing fake glasses out of bottle caps. I've had a fairly large circle of aquaintance ever since. I try to be polite and nice whenever I can, but I'm told that I'm a good ranter when some faggot pisses me off.

I came to Halo when I was about 15. My parents were incredibly overprotective, and wouldn't let me touch an M-rated game until I downloaded the Halo demo on my computer (I was a major Halo skeptic up until this point) and made a case that M-rated games weren't just Doom-style KILL EVERYTHING-fests and could posess interesting characters, epic stories, and didn't make the entire focus on how much blood came out when you decapitated someone. After two months, I recieved my copy of Halo: Combat Evolved for my 16th birthday. This was shortly after it released. I indulged in some light modding with HMT, and after limited success, downloaded Custom Edition once it came out, and after limited success, left it alone while I made a case to my parents for getting Half-Life 2.
A couple of years later, I pick up CE modding again (now that I'm in a college dorm and don't have my dad watching over my shoulder), and after moderate success, discover H2V Modacity in early 2007. I lurk, sign up for the search feature, lurk some more, and then decide to join the community fully, and I've had a good time so far.

When I was 6 years old, my dad found a job offer that paid twice what he was getting now. The catch was that it was in Germany. So for two and a half years, I was forced to endure the pathetic educational facilities of a German elementary school in a small town nobody had ever heard of, while simultaneously being expected to learn the entire German language without any professional assistance. I actually managed to do this, but by the time I started making friends, my mother, brother, and I jointly decided that we absolutely hated Germany and were going back whether my dad liked it or not. Not eager to be alone in a bleak town on the other side of the world, he went with us and we picked up a home that I stayed in for the rest of my childhood/adolescence. Unfortunately, I didn't speak a word of German over the next summer, and forgot every bit of it, so don't be asking me questions in German. D:

I'm hoping to become an English teacher, due not only to my grammatical sense and teaching ability (apparently I was good at it; often, both my 10th and 11th grade English teachers would tell substitues to have me assist the class if she was gone) but also the fact that I'm horribly worried for the literary appreciation and abilities of today's youth. Since most of you know (or are possibly part of) what I'm talking about, I won't go into further detail, since this is my life story, not a rant.

As of now, I'm living in a college dorm while paying regular visits to my parents house (my mother can cook up a storm). I have no muscle, have better-than-20/20-vision, farily long hair, and a crappy computer from 2006 that I've never had the opportunity or funds to completely replace, only adding on a mildly better graphics card and some RAM. My hobbies include lightly modding the Halo campaign, doing some crappy graphic artistry, writing a comedy fiction novel, and non-professional Billiards. I'm in-between love lives right about now; as of the moment, I prefer to stay single. I possess an Xbox 360, a Wii, and a crappy Standard-def TV which runs my 360 in 480p.

That's about it. Now pat yourself on the back if you had the patience to read through all of that.

Name: Robert Oplawar (really!)
Alias: Mr. Big
Age: Too old to be here
Height: Fucking short
Weight: Freshman 15
Hair: A wild rabbit with a strong gamy flavor
Ancestral Origins: Polish, I swear
Current Residence: The moon, although I'm still legally a resident of Colorado. It takes a while for the paperwork to circulate between Earth and the moon.
Birthplace: I was not born; I sprang fully formed from the internet.

I was born and raised in Iowa. My parents were both farmers at first, but then my mom paid my dad's way through school, and now my Dad is in charge of building satellites for the Star Wars program at Boeing. It's an epic rags-to-riches story, but that's a story for a different day. So we moved to Colorado, where Boeing's primary headquarters are located, and that's where I first became an internet junkie. I went to this internet cafe with my friend once, and the rest, as they say, is history. The prior paragraph has been filler to hide the following: Who the fuck reads this shit anyway? I mean, do you guys actually read each other's life stories like this? I contend that you really don't, and if you're reading this right now, my sincere apologies, but seriously, go the fuck outside.

I fist came to H2V.net looking for advice for how to fix my corrupted Halo CE install, but I soon became addicted to the forum lifestyle. That was some more filler because it would be too obvious to start a paragraph with this stuff. Anyway, seriously, no offense you guys, but don't you think it's kind of egotistical to post this kind of story on the internet for people to read? Idk, maybe it's the tiniest bit entertaining, but even so, sigh idk. I just think among the myriad of topics we could be discussing, it's boring and just plain dumb to laboriously detail your life story on the internet. By the way, all that stuff I've written about my life so far, if you didn't figure it out, it was completely bogus. Anyway, I really honestly don't expect anyone to reply to this. Hell, perhaps somebody already did exactly what I'm doing now, but I'm unaware because, :gasp:, I haven't read any of these longpost life stories. /Rant. Here, have some more filler to disguise the end of my paragraph. That's the point when H2V made the stunning transition to Modacity, when I made my triumphal return to the forum scene and to this day have been posting regularly, perhaps obsessively.
SERIOUSLY! GO THE FUCK OUTSIDE!

I moved from Toronto to Arkansas in 06ish, I am fat and I don't have any friends, which you can probably tell. I also am a communist and I am a fan of classic rock and metal. I have not left my house in weeks; I am psychotic. I'm probably the biggest douchebag you've ever met.
