Alright so I'm game planning my way out of ATT come June or July and one of my plans includes selling my iPhone 4 to maximize the amount I can make from it. However, during the time I remain on ATT, I'm gonna still need a phone that can only call and text. No web browsing or any of that. With that being said, what phone should I look into buying (something I can find online without the stupid 2 year contract)? Just looking for something cheap that I can use for a bit, nothing fancy.

If you're just putting your SIM card into it for a bit, try asking some of your friends if they have old phones you could easily get from them for free or really cheap.

Samsung A737. It's a tank of a phone.

Something like that would actually be ok haha. I'll probably look into getting something like a flip phone so I don't look so much like a weirdo caring a dinosaur phone. :)

Haha yea. At the time I was trying to exploit a loophole that would have gave me unlimited data as ATT cut them out when I signed up. Worked to perfection and I was happy until recent events. Ain't paying out of the butt for slowed down speeds when I can just go back to my dad's family plan on Verizon for about half the price.

I own one, and it has great battery life, great reception, is made out of aluminum for the main half, and the menus are slick.

If it's not a smartphone it's just going to suck anyway. Just go get the cheapest pre paid and slap your SIM in.
