this is a terribad argument for a couple of reasons;

a) the looming threat of rep bombing stemmed the tide of Bad Posts and blatant postcount padding that this site is now terribly afflicted with,
b) rep circles were a thing, but never as much of a thing as people seem to think; most of my rep came from posts people apparently liked,
c) trolling for rep is dumb and will bring rep bombing, not pos rep.
