Yup, it's that time of the summer again for our bank accounts to be not-so-subliminally robbed by our own greasy fingers. VG24/7 confirmed (http://www.vg247.com/2013/07/10/steam-summer-sale-starts-tomorrow-valve-email-suggests/) that the 2013 Summer Sale will be launching on July 11th (tomorrow) and if past years are any indication, we'll be continuously abused until July 21st.

That's 10 days of impulse buys and self-loathing. Luckily, this year I have prepared myself mentally against such actions, but I'll be blooding myself for the first time using such techniques. Who knows what will happen?

Not really planning to buy anything, not sure if I really want anything. Strangely enough I rarely spend money on the Steam Sale because I know I don't REALLY need those games. I already just bought Tomb Raider, Dishonored and RAGE a few weeks ago for a good deal, and that's all I really wanted.

Lost Odyssey had the most god awful screen tearing when I tried playing it, but thankfully I hunted down the ini files and was able to find the vsync options as well as some other tweaks that they don't give you in the games settings menu.

Last time I tried playing War of the Roses, lances were still broken, claymores still ruled the battlefield, and Toledo steel daggers were massively OP in close quarters even with plate. It's not that much better.

I still need Dead Island Riptide and Prison Architect cards to complete the Steam Sightseer badge. Apparently I'm the only one on my friends list who has got a Foil card (Tomb Raider), or at least the only one who hasn't sold it yet.

BTW, would be cool if someone wanted to give me, or trade me, for those last two cards...

Also, if you get Walking Dead and use W8 with a 360 pad, you'll need to unplug the pad (ie, you can't use it). Something tells me TTG won't be adding W8 support in the future either.

If you're into the whole ARMA thing should have just sprung for 3. It's like a night and day difference in quality and double the fun despite being only a beta. Except no planes yet :( those come in the fall.

I actually had the Witcher 2 on the xbox and enjoyed it. So far i'm not a fan of the first games combat system, but hopefully it'll grow on me.

The first game's quite different from most RPGs. Yeah the combat is strange, but it's kinda cool to change the camera view and control it almost like a real-time-strategy yet still-an-RPG game.
