So i guess it's impossible for me to force V-Sync in Directx applications in Vista via video card settings. I noticed in my video card settings (latest GeForce 7 series drivers)that it says the force V-Sync is only for Open-GL games in vista, if you turn it on, it makes no difference in h2v. It says it only works for both Directx and opengl in XP. This is quite sucky... :eyesroll:

I mean...how many games run on OpenGL or D3D in the first place? >.>

Doom 3 and Quake 4 were Open GL, I think. Pretty sure anyway.
I've noticed that though, no vsync in any H2V footage >_>
heh

That's weird...my moniter's refresh rate is at 75hz and the max I'm getting (when I'm looking at the wall floor whatever) is 75fps

Vsync works fine in H2V for me. It just makes for a laggy game.

^ even on your system?
what the fucking shit. By the sounds of it, h2v's performance was ported worse than Halo PC.
Well thats what happens when they develop the fucking game on super computers.

I think someone needs to sticky the whole deal with vsync so people will stop asking

Open GL games are like Quake(the original) and older 3d games like that. DEFANATLY NOT doom 3 and quake 4 thouse are Direct X.

All games using the Doom3 engine including Doom 3 and quake 4 run on openGL 2.1, because the Doom3 Engine is based on the structure for the Quake 3 Arena Engine, which uses a pre-2.0 version of OpenGL. However DirectX is still needed, for what i am not sure.

As far as I know OpenGL only replaces the DirectX Drawing part.
there are more...
DirectX Input
DirectX Sound etc

I've never been a fan of vsync, and by laggy I mean whe I move the mouse my view moves a short time after. By short I mean split second, but you can feel it and it really fucks with your aiming.
