My $0.02

1. Learn to type your posts legibly
2. Don't use the word "fuck" for stupid reasons
3. If you have an Xbox, just stick to Halo 2 on the xbox!
4. Surely you know that many news articles have talked about Halo 2 PC supporting the X360 controller...it's even in the manual I think...and on Bungie's website.
5. This game is poorly optimized - not really much reason to play it anyway.

FPS has nothing to do with skill. At least if you actually have any. The human eye can't see more then about 30 FPS anyway and anything above 60 is just brag-worthy bullshit.

In the PC world, Controllers are for noobs. Have fun adjusting to the Mouse and Keyboard.

And I believe the term you are looking for is "fail" computer, not "noob computer.

30 FPS is fine. That's how fast you see Halo 1 and 2 being displayed on the Xbox.

I wanted to try get a constant 30fps on H2V (I usually notice that there's an occasional 29fps hit on H2X btw..)

30 is okay, but seeing 5 or 6 people can reduce it drastically to sometjhing lik 15 or less...
Then you're screwed.

I have a question relative to the topic name and I didn't want to make a new thread thats so similar to this thread, so here it goes.
If I get an NVidia GeForce 8800 GTX but only have 1024MB of ram, will H2V play good?

you have over 1 Gig of RAM so yea it should maybe not excellent. Most people here have 2 Gig of RAM, And your video card suits it well I was thinking of getting that one. So yea i think it should run just as well...It also depends on what your settings on h2v are at.

What? Your fps should never drop below 100, even with 1 gig of ram.
