To play H2 you have to use the key provided. Whenever you activate on a computer, it checks your com. model or something. So how many computers can you activate on before it stops you, or is it unlimited? Is it possible to activate it again and again after multiple times of reinstalling Windows?

This problem happened to my Flight Simulator X, when the key is only limited to 2 seperate computers. (I had to phone them using the no. provided from the activation thing to give an excuse of not using it on the 2nd computer. Now the key is unlimited on any amount of computers.)

So, anybody knows?

Actually, It doesn't check anything I think. But, microsoft will only allow you 2 times to activate it no matter where or when.

That in itself is a very bad choice from M$. What if people have their computers crash more than 3 times? D:

Then your computer is screwed and it doesn't deserve to have h2v installed once more so you should go out a buy another copy to help the game sales go up. Or you could deal with sitting on hold for 45 mins waiting to speak to some hard to understand tech support agent and give him your arguement of why you deserve to be able install and activate the game again.

Sucks for me cuz my installation corrupted once and I couldn't reinstall it without uninstalling it and loosing the activation. D:

You hit that last one about the hard to understand tech support agent on the spot. It would be easier to hear and understand Microsoft Sam! More than half the time I can't tell what they are saying because they have an extremely heavy accent, and I have to ask about 6 times what they just said. Normally you'd think a company would want to hire easy to understand tech support agents, but this is probably something they want. Now instead of being able to activate again, you are just going to have to buy a new game =p.

according to phopo, your allowed 2 activations.. 1 per pc.

but, it allows you to re-activate (say if you reformat) as long as you do it on the same pc(s).

not sure if thats correct, but it makes sense.

I've uninstalled and re-installed the game 3 times, had to activate it everytime... So that's out the window:D

Well if you look at it this way (the way M$ is looking at it) if you make it so a M$ game can only be Activated 3 times or so, this helps keep people from hacking it, and puting the M$ game out on the net for any one to download for free. I gave one of my keys to a friend of mine that was using the Beta H2V, so I have one left, but as soon as I get the money, I'm buying me a new laptop to replace my POS laptop and I'll get one more H2V DVD for it.
