Not only with the map that had many open edges that was shown in another thread, but with someelse's map that i couldn't seem to get to work for them at first have rasterized and become no longer corrupt so they could open in sapien when I converted them to editable mesh before exporting them. I think other peopl should try this; it could solve a lot of problems:).

^ This is true for both halo 1 and 2, for all situations. Converting to mesh can often magically remove errors and fix problems.

So is there a disadvantage or a reason that i've never heard this before?

I thought it was common knowledge...

But then again I used to always model in editable mesh... but now... I move freely between mesh and poly... you just always have to convert to mesh before exporting

i modeled in mesh before (only a few weeks ago lol cause i never had HCE and had no clue what to do to make maps when i got h2vista) but i found poly quicker and easier so i started using it, i didnt think it mattered...
