keep working on it, sounds like we are gonna have some fun close range battles, with no use of the y-axis XD.

Everything looks too boxy. Even the door on the second last picture looks like its just made up of 3 boxes that arent even connected just overlapping.

as i said, this map has alot of work ahead of it, but im also trying to keep it along the lines of doom, which is a very, "boxy" looking game.

:awesome: I suggest looking at the Classic Doom 3 mod for inspiration. They recreated all of the original Doom 1 maps for Doom 3.

I opened this thread thinking "Hrmmm what's this map?" then I remembered why I couldn't remember it... because I skipped past all the ugly pictures after seeing the first one last time.

Don't be so hard on the kid, llama. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Not quite, I'm rather familiar with the term. With my WIPs I don't show anything until there is something worth showing though.
You yourself said that the map has a lot of work that needs to be done to it yet, how about instead of trying to insult me you work on something worth showing.
If I were to post a map with a bunch of extrusions and boxes thrown everywhere and said "It's only a WIP." I'd get the same criticism, as would anyone else.
So, in closing. Good luck on this map, hopefully the future progress shots will prove better.

lol but seriously, I'm going in a totally different direction, if at all. I haven't worked on this in months. It looks like you're staying faithful to the original design- I've already modified it so much to try to make it more suitable to Halo style gameplay that it's hardly recognizable anymore.
I'd like to see more- and don't by any means stop just because I'm doing the same map, cause in all probability I'll never finish it.
