Through extensive google searching I found out that it's a German S98 model, and the markings on the back of the blade indicate it was manufactured in 1907. A couple of the ones on the guard indicate it was issued to the 91st infantry regiment of the Regular army (I think). The other numbers to the right of those I don't know anything about other than they are the square root of 5. The manufacturer is printed on the side of the blade. The broken area of the handle has been worn smooth from use and general erosion.

The strange thing is, the only 91st infantry I can find information about existed in WWII (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/91st_Infantry_Division_%28Germany%29), so either the 91st of WWI did nothing noteworthy or this bayonet was sitting around for a very, very long time before actually being issued.

Also, none of the S98s I can find on google have the same, cheap scabbard that this one does. Weird.

no offence, but fuck that. american notes are easily damaged (being paper), hard to tell apart at a glance (being bland as all fuck and generally devoid of colour), and is pretty poor in the anti-counterfeit department (hence why the germans had like a bajillion us dollars at the end of the war they wanted to try flood the economy with, but like all of hitler's lunatic plans, it failed miserably). real money is colourful and has shiny things or see-through windows and uv ink and shit. for added bonus, plastic (though i will concede that aussie notes rip too, just not as easily).

canada has the best coins though. they're so pretty and colourful and they seem to have a high proportion of new to old, as opposed to ours
