I edited my map, and every object is all out of wack, for example, these pillars I made aren't even inside the building I made them in. Do I need to delete and recreate b_levelroot?

maybe you accidentally scaled/moved it?

maybe, but I if did do that, would the best move be to remake it?

yeah, it shouldn't take too long.

ok, i remade b_levelroot, didn't work. should I delete the previous .ass file AND scenario, and recompile everything?

If you really think its worth trying, try it.

Gah, it's still messed up! Should I copy and paste all my geometry into a new file or something??!

Try resetting pivot points.

im gonna be nice this time and not ask what pivot points are, ill find it myself. Thanks for the help guys.

EDIT

GAH MOTHER OF .ASS FILES, NO GOOD! I selected every object on screen, hit the tab next to modify, with pivot selected, and hit reset all pivots.

You... did link your stuff to the b_levelroot... right?

Do each object individually. And make sure to "Center to Object."

ok, right now, everything is still linked to b_levelroot. should I pivot reset each individually, INCLUDING B_levelroot, or should I unlink then do it, or any combination of those.

just unlink it all and delete the frame or whatever, then reset all the pivots and try linking everything to a new frame :saddowns:

if that doesn't fix it..gosh.

frame as in b_levelroot, right?

EDIT:

Nope, didn't work. Sorry I didn't mention this earlier, but I AM getting the non-unifrom scale error. I'm gonna go do that tutorial and see if it helps. It usually didn't effect me though. Yep. That was it. I suck. Sorry to waste your time XD.

If you're getting the non-uniform error, just go to the tab with the picture of a hammer on it, select "Reset Xform" and then convert each object you've converted back to a mesh. Check out this thread (http://www.h2vista.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4645), too. Please... search before asking next time.

I knew where to find that solution, I just didn't think about it very well. Sorry :/

It's cool! Is it all better now? :)

Alright, that's good to hear!

Oh, and for future reference:

When editing Verticies, never use the rotate tool, this is why you recieve the error. It results from verticies being rotated off the X-Axis.

If you want to achieve a "rotation" on geometry, just simply use the move tool, and appropriate it accordingly.
