The G9. It looks like they got the G5 and beat it to death with an ugly stick, then proceeded to cover it with a Darth Vader mask. A lot of the features on it are nice though.

Looks nice. (It's still a G15 btw).They slimmed it down a lot by cutting out a lot of the Gkeys and by integrating the palm rest into the body of the keyboard. I like it. Hope they don't change any of the display software requirements too drastically. Hell, backwards compatibility would be awesome.

Keep your G7, it's probably better than the G9. I think red is supposed to be easier on the eyes in the dark.

Red and green is easier on your eyes, thats why the military uses colored flashlights. If your in the bush reading a map at night, and you hear something move, you look for it, if it was a while or blue light, your eyes would take longer to adjust.

It's the same with pilots flying at night, most instrument lights are red or green.

However, they better make it have multiple colors, like the Saitek Eclipse II.

With the G9 you can change the colors of the LEDs.
