I'd get it just because I still have an ol' CRT piece of shit that hurts my eyes to the umpteenth degree.

Ya, good price, size, resolution, contrast ratio, and decent response time.

That happens to be one of the new 24" TN pannels. If it is good or not depends on what you will be doing with it.

Mainly gaming, next to that comes work in Photoshop and Premiere, then 3DS Max, and following those, a couple miles behind, Word Processing.

You'll be fine then. The input lag on the other displays would probably drive you nuts in games. :)

Yeah, the 30" LCDs are going to stay expensive for a while still. The 24" LCDs are going to fall pretty fast on the other hand, thanks to the 24" TN being released. Its low cost is going to drive the prices of the other pannels down, which is awesome. It'll probably be sub-$400 in just a couple months even, which is when i'll pick one up.

Yea well, I might wait a month or two before buying it. See how cheap I can get it for.

But by then, the 26" screens will be this price and youll say the same thing for them. buy it now.

Screen size, I dont care. The resolution is all I care about and 1920x1200 compared to the 1280x1024 resolution I was using before makes me never want to go back.
