You can now walk around the commanding ship before hearing your mission-briefings. It allows motivated players to get more involved. Before visiting a planet for a mission, you can check the ship's databases and read about its history. You can read about available unit upgrades and purchase them when needed. You can also talk with crew and immerse yourself into sub-plots outside the battlefield. This shit's got soul.
