I've been looking at a few, and I've picked one out. However, I'd like to know what any of you guys would recommend. Preferably in the $100-$200 range.
Here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254005) is the one I've picked out.

That's a pretty good deal, go with it since it's only $170 and you get lots of screen real estate.

I concur.
Personally, I don't like to go bigger than 17", but that's just me.

I was looking at that monitor awhile ago. Unfortunately, I don't have a good reason to get it *stares at hammer at floor and a dead pixel on my LCD screen*

I have one dead pixel, but it is so obscure that I could care less.
It constantly glows blue...

It's the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. The maximum resolution of 1280x1024 on it also looks better than it would on a 19" without using Anti Aliasing (I realize that the one you picked out is 1440x900, but that is a wide-screen resolution).
As a side note, it also fits my desk better :p.

I'm pretty sure it basically means:
This monitor was used at some time by Microsoft while they were using Windows Vista.
Or that it passes some hardware tests...

The criteria probably consists of "actually works", and nothing else.

Looks nice, I'm thinking of getting a new monitor in the near future as mine's about 6-7 years old...

I have 2 big CRT Monitors in front of me. Both 17' with a total worth of 30$.
I just don't like LCD. :(
But I think they are great! :)

Heck, if you were selling them I'd buy them.

Hurr hurr! I have a 23" 16:9 wide TV/Monitor!
Unfortunately, it only gets 1360x768 resolution...
