i have been trying to render my animation in max and its about 100 frames long, but after it renders and saves to the avi file, the avi plays the animation so fast. The entire clip is about 3 seconds long. How do I slow down the frame rate of the animation?

100 frames is to short, try 200

30 frames = 1 second by default I believe

you can set the speed and amount of frames there.

NTSC=30 FPS
PAL=24.5 FPS

Out of my head if I'm not mistaken.Also you can slow it down under the same setting window.

I cant quite remember because I mainly work with maya now but when you save the avi file save it as uncompressed and see if it plays at normal speed once it finishes rendering.

It's actually like 29.something but yeah, 30FPS and 25FPS is just the same pretty much.
