so um, yeah, I'm bored. Usually when I'm bored, I play a game or something, but I'm kinda bored of the games I have now. Can you guys recommend some fun or very nice looking games or programs for me to play with? Here's what I got:
Age of Empires 3 - only really fun when you're at a LAN party or something.
Battlefield 2 Demo - Multiplayer isn't an option when punkbuster boots you constantly. Bored of playing against AI's on the same map all the time.
Battlefield 2142 Demo - Punkbuster ffff
DiRT Demo - Wow, less arcade style vehicle handling please. It ruins the game.
Enemy Territory - Quake Wars beta - Holy shit this game sucks.
Flight Sim X - Great game, played it enough this week though. Also, multiplayer fails since it disconnects everyone randomly and there's no way to fix it.
H2V - LOL. That is all.
Halo CE - K, I could play that, but I'd like something new.
Oblivion - No CD patch does not work :(Anyone have any suggestions? Please, I'm so bored :saddowns:
I need something to hold me over until the Bioshock demo comes to PC.

I would not suggest C&C 3. Personally I didn't like it one bit thanks to the whole two super weapon Scrin. I don't know if the patches change any of that so I may be wrong. I would suggest Company of Heroes or Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, possibly some of the older C&C games. You know when they were win.

I suggest you reconsider with Homeworld 2. Not as verstile as EvE, but graphics and innovation wise its top notch. Extremely awesome game.
There was a gundam mod for Homeworld 2. Very expertly done.

Civilization II. I've played this lately for hours on end, it's fun times. I think it's abandonware, you should be able to find it from searching on google.

I would suggest you try Civilization it for a bit before you actually get the game seeing as I wasted 30 bucks on the game only to sell it to my friend. The whole 4X genre isn't for everyone. I for one was bored to death.

Half-life 2
FEAR
prey
BF2/BF2142
CRYSIS!!!!!!!-pisses pants a little
honestly i found FEAR multiplayer to be horrible. The gameplay felt too...arcadeish and too fast-paced...BF2 by-far is the worlds greatest multiplayer game ever..

Well I am a realistic FPS kind-of guy, or at least believable realism. BF2 has the best FPS multiplayer i have ever seen.

Ahem AA.
I also don't see whats so great about your commander artying your team and having all the squad leaders being douches. Not to mention being called a noob just for working alone.......then again I might just join all the bad servers.

Go grab a n64 emulator and reminisce in the classics. Perfect dark, or Goldeneye played with a precision analog controller, or even a well configured keyboard mouse set up is awesome and win, especially with friends over for split screen multiplayer. Also the original smash bros, another great game to play with friends. Also, a special version of pj64 allows you to play online, so you can gather some friends from AIM and play the games online if your friends can't visit. If anyone thinks they can beat me in the original smash bros, I'm up to the challenge. I have been undefeated in that game for years.

FEAR multiplayer ftw, or America's Army...
www.miniclip.com (http://www.miniclip.com) is an option (trust me, the Bush Shootout game is some mindless fun...)
If you want to buy a game, buy Call of Duty/2?
You can also download some old Nintendo emulators (N64 ftw) or the PSX emulator. Those systems are discontinued, obsolete, unsupported, and their games cost under $5 at EB, so it's now technically legal to emulate them and download their roms. Goldeneye 007, perfect Dark 1, and super mario 64 are some of my favorite N64 titles

Age of Empires 2/3, Halo, Prey
I really like Prey SP! :)I found Prey kinda boring, I beat in a few hours, and nobody played multiplayer...:(
Other than that, AoE and Halo are :awesome:

I really enjoyed Prey's single player... multiplayer was a bit un-balanced...
And the next America's Army game is using the Unreal Engine 3, so look out for that!

Homeworld 2 was fun, but I personally didn't like the fact that resources ran out, which is why I prefer Total Annihilation (or TA Spring), and more recently Supreme Commander. Also HL2 is win.

Total Annihilation, bad fucking ass, great game, would I suggest it now? Probbly not its RTS but one of the best games :)
Counter-Strike Source, great game, when your bored of it, go outside, nothing beats CSS (Crysis will, but its not out yet :O)
Or camp outside a store waiting for bioshock because that game is going to own all :O

some of the best games i've ever played are without a doubt, Max Payne, and Beyond Good and Evil. i loved homeworld 2, especially since it so fucking easy to cheat. 50 sajuuks in the last mission = fun fun
also, like 10 battleships and 20 deadnaughts and tonnes of corvettes and EPIC SCALE battles is way cool
homeworld 2 is a good bet, but if you want to get the very best out of it, get the Point Defence System mod.
it adds alot of visual awesomeness and gets rid of some of the micromanagement.

Ah yes, Max Payne and its sequel are two superb games that are underplayed. They both featured groundbreaking visuals for their time (2001 and 2003) without being too demanding of your system.
Max Payne wasn't exactly the first bullet time game (the specialists half-life mod is the true first game) but it is the first game to integrate it very well into gameplay and make it a central part. You will have a blast playing both games, although Max Payne 2 is significantly easier since the bullet time auto-recharges in the sequel, whereas in Max Payne 1 the bullet time only recharged if you killed someone.
Hmm, seemed like Remedy Entertainment could make great games but it needed to work on its marketing/advertising abilities.

I loved the noir comic book feeling. No one knew if they were joking or if they were being serious with it.

Raiden. Man I loved that game. You either talking about the classic version or the flash remake RaidenX.
