I had a AMD Athlon 3000+ 1.8ghz, and 1gb of memory, and H2V took about 10-15 minutes to load a campaign level.
I now have a Core 2 Quad Q6600, a Evga 680i LT motherboard, and dual 1gb memory moduels in dual channel.
The levels load in less then 6 seconds. It's unbelievable. Halo2 is actually fun to play now.

My pc isnt too great 2.4ghz intel pentium 4, 1gb ram but it takes about 1 - 2 mins for that bloody halo logo thingy to go away >_< yeah it really does make the game suck, in CE loading is really fast for me, so I can just pop on and test things but with h2v its no the same =\

The game generally takes me about 6 - 7 minutes to start up. About 2 or 3 minutes of nothing after clicking the shortcut, about another 3 or 4 minutes of a blank white screen, then finally the opening video plays.

I don't think so, it's probably scripted into the UI.

To anyone bored out of their mind during the Game Experience may change... screen - start signing into your gamertag as it does that. Press the HOME or Guide button to bring up the Guide and you can sign in while it sits in that screen.
BTW: How come Halo 2 xbox doesn't show any copyright, legal, or "Game Experience may change..." messages when it starts up, but about every other game does? Try playing Shadowrun, and you have to go through 2 or 3 screens of copyright info. (And it looks pretty stupid, because it shows the Shadowrun images, and the legal text, fades out, and fades back in with the same image but with new text.) Wtf? Why do other games do that?

All you need to do is add more ram. When I had 1 gig of ram, it took over a minute to load. I added another stick of 512mb ram and now it takes a few seconds to load a level. A Helluvalot difference.
