He broke it open and forced a T-mobile SIM card into it.
With that said, I'm sure you could get another network's SIM card in there.

Doesn't really apply to me. There is no way in hell I'm spending $600 on a fucking phone. I'd rather spend that money on a PS3.

Saw this on the news. I'm sure Apple and AT&T's lawyers are gonna have a little something to say about it.

Um...Hacking or reverse engineering something for purposes of interoperability (for example, making a device that is fixed to work under one service work for another service) is perfectly legal under the DMCA.

If the iPhone was regular price compared to other new phones on the market, then yes I would, but the price is so damn steep and to be honest it isnt as great as Apple have made it out. Ok I plays songs, you can go on the net and its a phone, obviously it has a few more features, but I dont think thats worth $600, I would hardly use the internet to be honest. I'd only use music and the actual phone, which is what I have right now (although iPod battery is screwed I think =\)

Dang, too bad I bought a Motorola RAZR V3X (the V3X is exclusive to Asia and has a 2-MP camera plus a 3G video call lens) a few months ago.
Still, it's not like the iPhone will take off in other countries, especially China, Japan, and Singapore, where Palm and Windows Mobile PDAs are the stuff. I've played with a few Windows Mobile PDA phones, and while they only have QVGA screens, they can do much more than the iPhone for lower prices. Amazingly, the mobile field is where Microsoft actually is the best and most user-friendly.
However, a number of Canadians will be pleased to hear this, as many people at school were yearning for iPhones.
