Forward the right ports.
Let the dedicated through your firewall.
Change your client port in Halo CE to 2304.

It will work, thats what I was hoping you'd search for.. But no.
Unless you can't host, or somethings like messed with your ISP or whatever then it wont work. But it should work, even if you have a router.

Damn, that sucks. I know it has something to do with your router. It wont let traffic in on your Halo ports. My friends has the same problem, but he hasn't fixed his yet. The thing is each router is setup differently, so there is no one generic manual for setting up ports correctly. Consult your router's manual?
Maybe you should try some searching at Gearbox. They have ALOT of topics like this in the HaloCE Technical and Server Administration (http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14) section.

If you are using a HDS and HCE on the same machine, you have to change the port of the server to something like 2304. You do this by adding "-port *port number*" (without quotes) to the end of your HDS shortcut. You need to leave Halo CE alone for the ports or else it won't communicate with other servers. Also look at your firewall and see if the programs and necessary ports are open and forwarded correctly.
