I decided to take out my stash of old but still fun games and some games are better than current ones. What do YOU still play after all these years?

Battlezone
Battlezone II
Dark Reign 2
Missile Command (the 3D PC version)
Quake II
Doom
Doom II
Half-Life (and expansions...old?)
Wing Commander: Prophecy
Tachyon: The Fringe

I would play Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger, and the original Wing Commander if they would work with anything newer than Windows 98.

Yoshi's Island (SNES version, not the n64)
Tetris(the big ol' GB version)
GTA III and VC
Galaga when I get the chance in my PC
Frogger (both the old version and the one in the Playstation 1)

Tony Hawk 3
Super Mario Kart (recently misplaced and can't find it D: )
SSB and SSBM(I know SSBM is not that old)

Descent 1-3, Mechwarrior 3, Freespace 1/2 (technically also descent but it's really different), Starcraft, Tyrian, Emperor : Battle For Dune. Though I'm not entirely sure of Emperor falls under old. I also sometimes get an urge to play a game I liked when I was in elementary school like Roller Coaster Tycoon and such.

I want to play asteroids now. Not online but on the 2600, and of all the games I didn't get when I bought my 2600 it was asteroids ><.

Stormwing

Starcraft/Brood War
Gran Turismo 1 (occasionally, for nostalgic purposes)
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (cutesy adventure game, but by god is it good)

If I actually owned more games I'd still be playing a lot more, such as old ass bomberman titles (like '93 on Wii Virtual Console), Mario Kart 64, Donkey Kong Country, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (<3 <3 <3), and definitely some others.

Quake 1 still holds a special place in my heart despite its age. It's the first FPS to allow free 360-degree mouse looking for precise targeting. Two homebrew developers are even porting it to the DS :P best of luck to them.

Although I don't really play platformers that much, I still love Super Mario 64 (I have the DS update, but the N64 rom is still more special). It set the standard for future 3D platformers, and I think it has aged best out of all those "old games" out there. Heck, even its graphics, despite being 11 years old, are very attractive and clean.

as for RTS's, I'm terrible at them, but I love AoE2 and the expansion, much more than the sequel. Best part of AoE2 is that as a 2D game, it can run on just about any computer produced after 1999, and it doesn't drain laptop batteries (try playing C&C Generals on a laptop without AC power >_>), and when I go into battery mode the only games I would play are RTS's (the touch pad is not good for anything that needs precise mouse movement).

Finally, who can forget classic Super Mario Bros? It's totally sweet, and all those Asian airlines even offer it on their AVOD in-flight entertainment systems.

I just fired up a torrented copy of Wolfenstein 3D (I have the floppy disk from 10 years ago, but none of the PCs in my house have floppy drives so I had to torrent the game). How nostalgic, great memories, mein fuhrer!

Seriously, we should all whip out the granddaddy of modern FPS's someday. It wasn't quite the first FPS, but it was the first to be playable on home systems with many of the properties now standard in shooters (strafing, opening doors, getting health packs, etc).

Here recently, I've pulled out my 64 and played some OoT, Starfox, Mario 64, etc. On my computer, I've played Roller Coaster tycoon a good long bit; it was surprisingly fun even after all these years. I've been wanting to play FFVIII and X again, but I haven't had the time.
