I planning on pairing it up with my current 17"lcd for a dual screen setup.

Basically I need to know which will perform better and which will look better with my current screen (I cant find pictures of it, its just a Balance 17" LCD black). You know the "ima nubkake wtf shewld i spend muniez on" important stuff. :confused2:

One of those is a wide screen...

what's your current one? also wide screen? because a wide screen and a normal one won't look that well (except if you have 2 normal and wide screen in the middle $_$)

Nah this one isn't wide screen, but thats Ok. I plan on putting this one on the left, and the wide screen where this one is. Here is a pic of my "testing" setup.

Also, don't hurt my old monitor that I found in a shed to badly :(

Like my 55" 1080p HDTV? Or my 20" WSXGA monitor? Or my 15.4" WXGA laptop?

Yeah, widescreen > fullscreen these days. And when many games support it natively, it makes a big difference. Trouble is, for the smaller widescreen resolutions, the vertical part is a bit lacking.

By the way, this monitor is better if you want widescreen:

It's 1440x900 as opposed to 1280x720. Costs $150 too.

19 inches, if you can fit it, and it's around the same price.

For a few extra muniez you could get this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094

22" > 17"

But I heard some bad things about the acer monitors, not lasting very long and such.

I didn't know there were such things as 17" Widescreens, wouldn't they look retarded? They look fine on laptops but i don't think there is such thing for separate monitors.
