So yeah, today I was feeling rather bored. I played some Halo 1 PC until all of a sudden I lag out and my internet stops working. Slightly preturbed at the quality of my ISP, I figure I might as well play some Halo 2 Xbox with my little brother to pass the time. So I turn it on and I see that beautiful start up menu I would see for the last time on this machine.
I'm greeted by my beautiful halo 3 wallpaper which I myself transfered to my 360. Unknowing what would happen, I pressed the button 'press halo 2'.
The starting menu loads, which I ignore as I take a sip from my glass of Pina Colada (but not really :/. I wish I had some though). I confirm my User Profile and then I go to "Split screen". My little brother picks up his controller, his face gleaming with excitement- I never really play with him as often as I used to. He confirms his player profile...and then it happened. A sound so mechanical and horrible, I nearly spat up my imaginary pina colada. Yes, you guessed it, my 360 made a loud beep and Halo 2 froze. "Pfft" I said. I might as well restart. I did, repeating the process but once again, the beep and the freeze. I sit there in slight shock at what as happened and in mild disbelief. To add salt to the wound, a checkerboard pattern arised. What does this mean? The GPU is fucking FRIED.
GG.
The best thing is, it makes ZERO sense since I always try to limit my sessions. There is no reason for my GPU to have fried and I just feel like taking this hunk of junk and throwing it in the toilet if it weren't for that warranty seal. Ah yes, that glorious warranty seal...if only...if only I WAS A FUCKING AMERICAN. Now I have to wait ages to send this off with someone in America (as I probably won't be allowed to mail it), who then has to send it to microsoft who will return it after they finish using the thermal paste to jack off and send me a new one. Best yet, my birthday AND Halo 3 is this month. YAY. MISSIN OUT YO.
Yes, I realise this topic doesn't open for much discussion but I figure you can rant about your broken 360's as well. I just needed to get this shit off my chest.
