Watch and see (http://lightsprint.com/index.html) it in action. Its amazing, realtime color bleeding, infinite light bounces, and lighting the scene with just indirect light.

Its being used in L.A. Noire (Rockstar)

More and more tech these days is being done by middleware, which is awesome as its creating not only standards but competition of the creativeness and powers of individual simulation technology.

It may, but Crysis isn't a middleware solution.

the colour bleeding is done really well, though i have a feeling it's been slightly overdone in that video. awesomesauce for that though.
