probably because shadowrun wasn't much of a hit.

Roosterteeth made a pretty good mini-series with it, so it can't not do good :-3!

sad to hear.
I think shadowrun is a great game (I have it, but there's almost no one on-line ever)

Wasn't that because the specs was a little demanding?

No, it is because other then the 360 <-> PC MP gameplay it wasn't that good of a game. Even that bit of a feature didn't make it too appealing, it just wasn't a lot of fun. Couple that with the fact you are paying $60 for an MP only game, that isn't even that great, and you get a shitty game.

Meh, maybe Mechwarrior will be considered a Microsoft franchise.
Mechassault 1 and 2 were more-than profitable for Microsoft.

I loved the mechwarrior series.... Why don't they just stop with shadowrun?

Probably because Microsoft can produce games that FASA originally owned cheaper with its in house studios, no use in keeping FASA's studio open and throwing money away. They just take on the talent they need and the creative rights are already theirs, Mechwarrior will live on, it will just become a full Microsoft Studio game instead of being Produced by FASA and Published by MSGS.

It never really was produced by Fasa from what I remember.
Activision
Microprose
Microsoft Game Studios...
Mechassault... maybe.

Then again that was back when Fasa made boardgames and paid Michael A Stackpole to write 'til his fingers bled.

Well so much for a sequel to Mechassault 2. They left that with such a HUGE cliffhangar too. =I

As I said, there could still be one. Just because the Stuido is gone doesn't mean the IP won't live on, Microsoft kept on a large amount of the staff in their Microsoft Game Studio employment and still own the right to the IP so its likely it will still live on, they can't turn away the profits.

One guy from FASA studios said that they would make a "real" roleplay version of the Shadowrun if it's going to sell good. (You may know the real, good Shadowrun.) It's sad they can't even try to make the game now...
Also, they've said Shadowrun is an average FPS. Nothing more. I can't judge cause I haven't played it myself, but that's what they've said. Lol.
