View Full Version : Flipped normals appear black

Well, like the thread title explains, in 3ds Max 9 my normals appear black when they are flipped. All of the previous versions that I've used have not appeared black. I am a Blender person, so I would have no idea how to fix this problem, and there should be a way. Please help. Thanks.

My advice would be to keep going and try to get it ingame, and if you still have the problem, come back and then ask us. To me, it seems like Max is messing with your head, and it's fine.

go to object properties and turn "backface cull" on or off, depending on if you have Max 8- or 9. Whatever it is, set it to the opposite setting.
