So mind posting a DxDiag? And it most likely is a conflicting program or something so try a Selective Startup.
Oh, and check the sticky.

you have the game fully installed? Did you click play while install? If you did, unistall the game than install it again. If that doesnt work than back up your cd and extract the iso. After that once i get home i will gave you an startup.exe fix, its a clean startup.exe that should fix your problem it did mine. Well if that doesnt work reinstall xlive and update your computer than if that doesnt work than i am sorry not sure what is wrong. I thought the was a certain port that you have to open to be able to use. Well if that doesnt work tell me i guess i will look some more. OH ya there is also another install fix that i can find for you once i get home for school.

This guy still here? Backup disc? Extract iso? Buying the game may solve some trouble too...

How about actually using Vista since XP doesn't use the Live service?

Assuming he's NOT lying that he has Vista Ultimate, is there a LIVE installation file that can be done manually?

On a side note, if you want to be respected on these forums, you need to post a bit more maturely. People are less likely to help you if they think you don't deserve it.

First, PLEASE type with proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. It's not hard, you've been learning it in school for years and years. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean that we won't care about that rambling run-on sentence bullshit. That's the most common first mistake people make when they come to the site; they make their first post and we can hardly read it. Poor first impressions. Even if you don't plan on staying, it's hard on the eyes (or rather our brains) to read things like that.

Secondly, we can only help you as much as you help us. Explain your problem in a way that's easier to read. Make sure you explain things neatly and concisely with adequate information for us to help you. The more information you can give us, the better we can help you. This includes things like your computer's technical specifications.

Thirdly, putting more smilies in your post and begging doesn't make us want to help you any more. We want to help people that deserve it right? Prove to us that you do, and ask for help in a respectable way. The more smilies you add, the more of an idiot you appear to be.

This forum is run like that for the benefit of everyone, including the newcomer. There's no reason why you wouldn't agree with it.

So, if you need some help from a group of people you dont know, you're going to walk up to them...and start talking in ebonics and using profuse amount of gesticulation (ie real life smilies) just because you dont feel like putting forth the effort to have a concise statement?

Well I don't agree with it because, everyone isn't a Mr. Grammer/Mr. Perfect...It's the Interweb(Internet -yeah, we know what the interweb is. durr) and it's not a school paper. I'm just saying it could be a little less strict without punishment...
I didn't say it had to be perfect, but you've been learning English for how long now in school? There's no excuses for making such poor attempts at communication as this guy. People aren't going to get banned for making typos, but when you're constantly blabbering out unreadable shit it's going to have its effects. There were mistakes in your post, but at least it was readable this time. Honestly, a lot of the posts you make don't make any sense. Say it out loud? Does it sound right?

Which brings me to my next point, which WOL so perfectly pointed out; this is real life as much as it's the internet. Don't for a minute think that people are going to disregard your poor communication skills just because it's the internet. If you go up to some group of people you've never met before, you're going to ask politely for help and try to convince them that you deserve the help, and explain why you need it. You're not going to go up to them and go "HEY!! I HAS AN MONEYS PROBLEM? CAN I HAS CASH PLEASE? WILL PAY BACK!!!!" and smile at them for 30 seconds.

Listen to Mr. Grammer up there. The forums are ran like that but I dont agree with it one bit, but we cant change the world we have to adjust.

Yes, but are we asking anyone to write as well as an English university professor does? NO. We simply ask people to type legibly, the way I am typing now. These are the forum rules - if you don't like them, get out, it's that simple. I'm not going to -rep you since your post was at least more legible than the thread-maker's post, but this is not your forum. If you don't like the rules, don't post on this forum.

And about this guy's problem:

You can try re-installing the game again. Also, give your system specs, namely CPU type and speed, amount of RAM, and video card. Owning Vista isn't enough. If you have a bad video card, you won't run H2V whether you use XP or Vista.

Finally, guys, it's really uncalled for when you tell off the thread maker for his abysmal spelling/grammar without helping him one bit. Ok, if his post is truly illegible (i.e. |||JZ|||'s posts) then you have a point, but I could understand his question so I answered it, even though I am including the "improve your spelling" warning at the same time.
