360 mic on phone?

So I was playing Halo 3 and my mom said she heard me talk on the phone? It was a wired controller and wired headset.
The phone was a normal land phone I think. Anyone know what happened? I'm afraid this will happen again. Maybe it has something to do with digital phone?

I'm not sure why it would be doing this with a wired controller and headset. Is you 360 connected to the internet wirelessly?

She's BSing you or heard you (wait for it) talking, not the data from the mic.

Yeah it was probably bs because I just tried it myself and nothing happened. Maybe she heard someone in their backgruond that sounded like me.
